Echoset

About Me

We would like to thank our fans for all the love and support they have given over the years. We regret to announce that after a year long hiatus, Echoset will not be playing again.

Rae and Sarah are busy working on new project called Tribella. Please go to myspace.com/tribellatheband for more information.

It isnt very often that you find three women in one band, who each contribute enough personality, musicianship, and high-energy to command a live rock performance that has kept their fans loyal and converted most newcomers. On stage, Echoset is both passionate and playful; off stage, Echoset boasts mutual respect and hard work. Beth Puorro (vocals, guitar), Rae Goldring (bass), and Sarah Glynn (lead guitar, backing vocals) all agree that Echoset is much greater than the sum of its parts. And this isnt too surprising given the three band mates have also been longtime friends.

Since its formation in 2000, the Austin, TX band has transcended difficulties common to many bands through creative thinking and fast action. The group is consistently voted one of Austins best live bands in the Austin Chronicles annual poll, and this is largely due to the groups tireless and innovative promotional techniques. When it comes to touring, the band is quite proud of its ability to have completed 6 west coast tours and 1 east coast tour over the past 3 years. In addition to its strong presence in Texas, the group has succeeded in growing fan bases in national markets, including Portland, San Francisco, and L.A.

A few quotes about echoset:

Austin really is the music capital of the USA. The town is crawling with musicians and dreams. Here I am hanging out with some future stars of tomorrow, [echoset] you guys, by the way, rock! That was amazing! Dave Attell. Insomniac Comedy Central.

"[Echoset] is a pure high-powered rock bullet to the brain!" Texas Rock and Roll Band Shack.

Finally, something real. Like a breath of fresh air in your ears. Loris Lowe. Music Director KLBJ

"echoset is one of the most promising rock bands I have seen in Austin; fine songwriting, solid musicianship and a stunning lead singer."-Woody Roberts. Former Director of Austin Music Network.

Full throttle rock bandbombastic with edgy lyrics that kicked the show off to a great start. The band's muscle lies in its talented musicians. -Karen Cooper of Austinlive.com

While thoroughly contemporary, echoset could seamlessly fit onto a bill with R.E.M., Sousie and the Banshees, and Guadacanal Diary-anthemic songs youll be humming on the way home. Dean Bonzani- Flagstaff Live- Flagstaff, AZ
