Joe

Hey everyone, my name is Joe Sakic and I play center for the NHL's Colorado Avalanche. I have a beautiful wife Debbie and three kids Mitchell (6), twins Kamryn (2) and Chase (2). I was recently selected as Team Canada Captain for the 2006 olympics in Turin, Italy which is quite an honor. I'm currently going into my 16th season in the league. I was selected by the Quebec Nordiques (15th overall) in 1987. I share the single-season playoff record for most game-winning goals (6) in 1996, leading the Avalanche to the Stanley Cup. I've been captain of Nordiques/Avalanche for over a decade, won the Conn Smythe Trophy (1995-96), played in eight All-Star games and I also hold Avalanche franchise record for points (1,060).
