My full name is Patrick Jacques Roy. I am the son of Michel Roy and Barbara Miller. When my mother was younger, she was a synchronized swimmer who
competed provincially and nationally. I have a brother Stephane and a sister Alexandra. I was an active child and I loved to play. At school, my favourite subjects were math and Physical education. I was planing to be a notary or a lawyer. I live with my wife Michelle Piuze. We met at a softball game 12 years ago. We have two sons, Jonathan and Frederik, and a daughter, Jana. We also have a golden retriever. My best Quality: I'm honest. My worst fault : I'm a slob. I'm very superstitious. On the road... I love playing in Boston and Vancouver; they're both beautiful cities. I went to my first NHL game at the Forum(Montreal) to see the canadiens play the L.A. Kings. My father knew that Rogatien Vachon my favorite player and we made the trip from quebec city just to see him. I was playing pee-wee then. I have a house in Lac Beauport, Quebec and in Parker, Colorado. The meaning of my last name Roy is "King" in French. My favorite food is chicken. My favorite athlete is John Daly. My jersey size is a 65 for those wondering.I am the all time wins leader with 551, I have 3 Vezina Trophies, 5 William M. Jennings Trophies, and 3 Conn Smythe Trophies. Plus 4 Stanley Cups with the Canadiens and Avalanche. I have a career GAA of 2.46. I am now retired and loving it, watching David Aebischer, my replacement, dominate the NHL. And I have received a great honor in having my number 33 retired in Colorado on Oct. 28, 2003, where I won 2 of my Stanley Cups. I am now the Head-Coach/Part Owner/General Manager of the Quebec Remparts in the QMJHL.The remainder of my Records:

I officialy Retired from the game of hockey on May 28, 2003. I was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame this November.
