ALCAZAR are Sweden's latest pop sensation. The band makes its debut in 1999 when Andreas, Tess and Annikafiore release Shine On as a first single in Sweden. This song makes it to the number 2-position on the Swedish dance charts. The follow-up single Crying At The Discoteque takes you right back to the glamorous disco of the 70's. This single scores first of all in Finland during the summer of 2000. One year later, Crying At The Discoteque is a massive hit in Italy, Greece,Turkey, Germany, Belgium, Brasil and many other countries. The follow-up single Sexual Guarantee hits the charts in many countries and in the summer of 2002, Alcazar are having another chartbreaker with Don't You Want Me, a cover of the Human League-classic.Casino is a very diversified debut album with a collection of various musical styles including pure disco (Crying At The Discoteque, The Bells Of Alcazar), tropical salsa music (Ritmo Del Amor), synthesizer pop (Don't Leave Me Alone, Transmetropolis) and many more.Meanwhile, Magnus Carlsson is officially announced on the 13th December 2002 as the fourth member of Alcazar. Before joining the band, Magnus has been the singer of the popular Swedish formation Barbados for years.Alcazarized is the name of the new album, which is launched in home country Sweden on 12th May 2003 and will be gradually released all over the world. Ménage A Trois is the first international single to be lifted from Alcazarized. Not A Sinner Nor A Saint, another track from the new album, was the previous Alcazar-single in Sweden and the band's first n° 1-hit in this country. Alcazar tried their luck with this song in the Swedish preselections for the Eurovision Song Contest but unfortunately had to be satisfied with 3rd place in the final.Alcazar have been signed up by record company BMG Sweden.
