Kamikaze Baby

Spring is in the air

About Me

There was something special about that day.
Something about the way the sun was reflecting off the ice, glaring like the windows we had imagined the night before. Something about Benito chasing his new lady friend across the empty field and the trees still buzzing with fuzzy memories of neatly stacked structures swaying in the clouds. Something about how it felt to be living out the exact thing we were writing, without knowing how any of it would end.
Part-time masterminds. Five-day holidays. Watching the grass grow greener. This was it. And all that mattered was Kamikaze Baby and this album.
We never intended to write uptown VineRise this way. It just kind of happened over the last year. Scrawled on crumpled sheets of paper and scattered over tangled wires, empty hallways and bottomless pits of conversation. Conceived, recorded and funded independently. Mixed and mastered by greatness.
So roll the opening credits. This is where the story begins. Download it. Read more. Pass it along. The album will be out on the first day of Spring.

This is our new album, uptown VineRise. A year's worth of conversation, chord changes, credit card bills and conviction condensed into 55 minutes and 55 seconds of the most honest music we have ever written. If you like the songs on this profile, follow this link:

This is the original Kamikaze Baby demo, which we officially released back at our first show in June 24, 2004. It's presently sold out, but you can now purchase the singles HERE.

This is our Identity Crisis EP. It was recorded at ApplePi Studios in Fall 2005. It can be bought HERE.
