Don Stewart ~ Singer - Songwriter - Performerstyl

About Me

Born and bred in southern Ontario, Canada, Don has performed solo and in combination with good friends since the mid- 70's. Steeped in the rich Canadian acoustic scene, Don began by bringing his own interpretations to selected songs by his favourite artists and then adding more of his original material. Currently, Don lives in Los Angeles and is testing the waters of the local acoustic scene there.Don also performs as part of the duo "Stewart & McCauley" whenever possible, teaming up with Dave McCauley of Toronto. They released an indie cd in 2002, "The Vanishing Point" that captured a part of their repetoire.A solo cd "Down Here" followed in 2003, with session contributions from Dave McCauley, Glen Bensley, and Gerry Fox.An experiment in the summer of '04 found Don performing in a trio with singer-songwriter Trish Robb, and guitarist-extraordinaire Brendan Mowat-Smith. "La buzzze" established an off-beat appeal in its short run.For more details, try the website link.

Sounds Like: very much like a male baritone voice and a nice wooden guitar, L'Arrivee or Martin with effects from time to time. Harmony vocals and additional instrumentation on good and special days.
