Love hanging out with friends, visiting family in the Virgin Islands, reading, snorkeling, yoga. Um, and eating really good food. And cheese. Mmm, cheese. Laughing is an all-time favorite of mine. I admire comedy as a profession and a trade.I love to dance. Love it. Whether it's to hip-hop/r&b, salsa/merengue, reggae/reggaeton, Green Day, Red Hot Chili Peppers, 3 Doors Down, Van Morrison (because I really just don't know what those genres are called), Billie Holiday, Alana Davis, Rick James, whatever. Independent films are a favorite as far as movie genres are concerned. I like rollerblade (even though I still haven't learned how to properly brake), walk, bike, whatever. I picked up surfing a while back and although I'm no pro, I think it's cool (and a great workout) and try it whenever my sister lets me borrow her longboard. I'm a natural-born leader and I like to be led. I like to watch TV, but not too much. I'm sensitive and I'm thick-skinned. I'm proud and I'm humble. I'm strong and soft (that sounds like a deodorant). Unpredictable. Yet, predictable. I'm a woman, what can I say? It's like expecting the unexpected...
Good question. I'd love to have lunch with Steve Carell. I enjoy meeting anyone who's really funny, very smart, fun, interesting, open-minded, good-looking blah blah blah. Don't we all? Um, and Oprah Winfrey and Will Ferrell. Jerry Seinfeld, too.I'm looking to meet new people and see new (maybe some old?) friends and faces. I'd be lying if I said looks weren't important because they are. Ditto for hygiene. Good hygiene, that is. Really, as long as you're cool, have a decent group of friends, are without pretense and a grudge, and are taller than me, then I'm good.
Where do I start...I just love music. Period. Closest to my heart is old school hip-hop (remember when it first came out?) and r&b. Love reggae and reggaeton, calypso, anything Latin. I love Billie Holiday. I like some alternative and rock. I just like music. Especially stuff I can rock out to.
Anything with Will Ferrell. Independent films tend to be my favorite, though.
I love The Office. Will & Grace, Apprentice...dare I say it, Oprah.
I am reading "Live From New York: An Unscensored History of Saturday Night Live As Told by Its Stars, Writers, and Guests," by Tom Shales and James Andrew Miller. I just erased an entire paragraph of authors I like so just take my word for it instead. I like books. Next, I'm planning to read "Making Rain," and I forget who the author is. Seibold or something.
My closest and bestest friends in the world are my heroes. My brother is my inspiration. Can I count Maya Angelou, too? I mean, we've never met but I'm pretty sure that if we did, she wouldn't mind if I called her my hero. I hope not anyway.
