Squigs

Heavy cloud but no rain.

About Me

If you are a dreamer, come in
If you are a dreamer, a wisher, a liar,
A hope-er, a pray-er, a magic bean buyer...
If you're a pretender, come sit by the fire
For we have some flax-golden tales to spin.
Come in!
Come in!

Shel Silverstein "Invitation" from "Where the Sidewalk Ends"

You can learn a bit about me here, and you can check out my webpage ( www.squigsink.com ) or my other MySpace page (see below... I'm my own Number One Friend) or my blog .

Currently, I'll be in Wichita for a month, taking part in a couple shows at Music Theatre of Wichita. And when I can, I'm hacking away at the vast teetering mountain of drawing and design that is my exhilarating lot in life. Life is a great adventure.

My Interests

I like good music, good food, good beer, and great draftsmanship.

I'd like to meet:

Nice folks. Artists. Both.

Music:

James Taylor. Nickel Creek. Chris Thile. Sara & Sean Watkins. Tuck and Patti. The Beatles. Simon and Garfunkel. Dar Williams. Crosby Stills and Nash. George Winston. Queen. Dougie MacLean. Singers Unlimited. The Hi-Los. The Eagles. Adam Guettel. Gaelic Storm. Lambert, Hendricks, and Ross. Take 6. Tin Hat Trio. Stephen Sondheim. Ruckus Roboticus. The Deadly Syndrome. The Decemberists. The Avett Brothers. Sufjan Stevens. Eilen Jewell. Martin Sexton... Oh, and the dulcet tones of me and my ukulele.

Movies:

I haven't seen many movies lately, but I did need a bit of an escape one evening and found it in spades with Iron Man. Loved it. Other than that, I've been watching various versions of Pygmalion on DVD, and look forward to continuing with my Netflix queue which includes another high recommendation of a documentary – King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters.

Television:

Whatever can play in the background when I'm at the drawing board – mostly talk shows (In the Loop!) and do-it-yourself programs.

Books:

I like books with pictures. Someday soon, one of those books will have pictures by me.

Heroes:

Horton the Elephant. Cowardly Lion. George Bailey. Sneaky Pete Kleinow. Jim Henson...
