About Me

i'm known as lora, porch, porchy, pooch, poochie, flora dora, pocahontas and a few other names! i love camping and travelling. once I've finished uni, I want to work in the music industry. I would love to work in A & R for SonyBMG or EMI-basically, go to loads of gigs and spend time looking for new musical talent and signing them to the label you work for.either that or arts/events organising and to still try and make it as a musician and composer as well.i love food, especially crabsticks-everyone thinks they're sick but i LOVE them! i also love ketchup.i go to exeter college where i'm doing btec national diploma in popular music and fast track a level music.i love the dark & night time, although its also great when it's really bright & sunny.i love the height of summer and the height of winter when its really hot or really cold but u have to wait for ages in between!i'm not much of a tea/coffee person which people always think is very strange but i like herbal teas and i don't like butter or margerine on bread/toast which people also think is weird.i wish that my heyday had been in the 70s as the music and the clothes were so cool!i can be extremely clumsy and people say that i'm a blonde in disguise!i can talk for britain, i sympathise with u if u ever phone me, u will not be able to get away for ages even when i've said bye i still keep talking! i'm a christian and i hate the way that they are portrayed in general, like those old biddies who walk round town with big signs on their backs saying things like 'you will go to hell if ur not a christian' and 'u don't need water to be baptised so be baptised now' etc.just because i'm a christian doesn't mean i don't have fun and doesn't mean that i am or think i cam perfect because of course i'm not, nobody is!also just because i'm a christian, everybody thinks they know what all of my views and morals are, but that's not the case, i still have issues with certain stuff and find some stuff hard to deal with. right, sorry had to get that all off my back! . My Interests

MUSIC is my first love. I'm a bit of an art farty drama queen so I love to sing, dance, act and play the piano and flut and am a member of various ensembles and bands.

well I have a massive CD collection including Stevie Wonder, Maroon 5, Aretha Franklin, Donovan Frankenreiter, Todd Agnew, John Butler Trio, Feeder, Breakestra, Herbie Hancock, Athlete, ALO(Animal Liberation Orchestra), KT Tunstall, Pete Murray, Jamie Cullum, Jason Mraz, Newton Faulkner, Van Hunt, Norah Jones, Curtis Mayfield, Miles Davis, Jamiroquai, Coldplay, Xavier Rudd, Telecast,India Arie, Zero 7, John Legend, Michael Jackson, Jurassic 5 and Pete Yorn.

Movies:

I like funny films and some films that make you think, but you have to be in the right kinda mood for that. i think baz lurhmann is great and all his films are beautiful.I really love A Walk To Remember too. i don't like scary films, the scariest film i can deal with is the sixth sense! div style="width: 1px; height: 1px; overflow: hidden; text-indent: -9999px"

Television:

my favourite show is Hustle-it's so clever and the way it's produced and directed is genius.i also like stuff like friends, scrubs, my family,my name is earl, ugly betty, 8 simple rules and desperate housewives.

Books:

there's one book i love about palestinians who have a curfew imposed on them by the isrealis.the book focuses on a boy and how he copes with it all i can't remember what the book is called!!i'm reading Wicked at the moment (the book that the musical is based on) and it's great-a lot darker than the musical. i also like any book by meg cabot (the kids ones and the adult ones, not in the way that ur thinking!) I also love Nicholas Sparks books.....
