About Me

Music & Acting Instruction We were started by music producer Jeffery David in 2004. Although Jeffery doesn't run the day operations his heart and vision is passed on to a full stuff that provides amazing instruction in music and acting for everyone that really wants to get serious. It's been an amazing journey and we've grown so much! Whether you're just getting into it or your a major working professional we have an instructor for you.   • GUITAR CLASSES What are classes like? It's all very friendly and supportive, and a great educational experience. Class size is small enough that we get to know everybody by name and their playing. It's very personal, and a great atmosphere. Musical collaborations can happen which last a lifetime. It's fun but at the same time we have the students work hard to achieve an understanding of harmony and music, we try to fill in the gaps.
  • VOICE CLASSES What are classes like? Students sing in the classroom every week. Everybody does group and also watches each other take a turn, so we learn by watching as well as doing. We sing different styles each quarter. In 4th phase, we have three styles; Pop, R&B, and Rock. At the beginning of the phase, they get a CD for each style, and they have a song to learn for each class, each week. They're learning 1-2 songs a week.
  • DRUM CLASSES What are classes like? There are three kinds of classes; lecture, drill, and performance. We'll give lectures covering motion, balance, rudiments, sound, rhythm, reading, listening. Then, the drill classes attend to these areas of study. Ideally, when the student goes to performance class, he/she is better able to apply to the music the things learned, along with practicing one's performance skills with pro players.
  • PIANO CLASSES What are classes like? We only offer private piano lessons at this point. We teach classical, pop, and worship styles as well. We cater the curriculum according the skill level and goals of each particular student. We teach everyone how to read and teach them about improvisation as well. We want to make it fun that's for sure!
  • ACTING CLASSES What are classes like? Can you say energy? We are about movement and communicating a character and part. We are learning real scripts and commercials. We work on everything from interpretation to exercises. We have a blast in this class and kids are really getting tools to get better at everything related to speaking as well. Many of our students are active in the Hollywood community doing commercials and films

    We are a team of young pro musicians, actors and skateboarders that have a huge desire to help you get out there and make some noise! We have instruction in Guitar, Voice, Drums, Piano, Bass, Sax, Violin, Viola, Cello, Acting, DJ, and Dance.All of us are involved in the entertainment industry, and all of us remember coming up desiring to have a program where we could learn from people really doing what we wanted to do. That's hard to find, but we've found that in The Lesson House. We have a combined resume that includes Jessica Simpson, Ringo Starr, Rick Springfriend, Mayfair Laundry, Bryan Duncan, The OC, Bold and The Beautiful, Sunset Beach, American Dreams, Joe Satrini, Sixpence None The Richer, Phil Keaggy, Deniece Williams, Cyndi Herron, Eric Marienthal, John Patitucci just to name a few.We teach every age and style.

    Music:

    The ultimate goal of what we do is to awaken the student's creative response to music. Music is everywhere, it's the soundtrack to our lives. Reading, improvisation, video, ear training, guest artists, writing, performing solo and in bands is what we're all about. We grab everything with integrity we can find to excite people about music.
