I love my Jesus... and He loves me.
I grew up in a unique city called Boca Raton, FL (aka Boca Rotten) and moved around quite a bit soon after high school. I became a firefighter in the state of Mississippi, but eventually made my way to Mobile, AL. After a heart breaking event, I went back to school where I majored in Sports and Events Marketing. One thing led to another and I now live in Nashville, TN where I'm going to grad school at Vanderbilt and working for the Tennessee Titans .
In my free time I go hiking, rock climbing, caving, and kayaking. There's something about the outdoors that makes me feel a part of the world--a sense of belonging. I also love photography and am just starting to explore the universe of lighting. I coach lacrosse to spoiled rich kids, but I love them as if they were my little brothers.
Some random facts: I prefer mom and pop restaurants to fancy 5 star restaurants. I don't like chocolate ice-cream unless it's Rocky Road (and that's only if there are real marshmellows). I can speak 5 languages fluently. I took a semester off of school to do hurricane relief in the Gulf Coast. I volunteer at an inner city center and work with about 40 kids--I call them my own. I would like to adopt and wouldn't be with someone who won't. I would rather be poor and happy than rich and content. I grew up with Mike Tyson as a neighbor. I love war movies and the occasional chick flick. I eat Asian food when I'm homesick or blue. I would like to live in England for a year. My dream vacation spot would be somewhere in the Mediterranean. I love meeting up with old school friends. I would like to open up a marketing firm or an event productions company. My most prized possession would be a firefighter angel pin that a firefighter from Ladder 1 in NY gave me after 9/11. I am a dreamer. I am an adventurer. I can't wait to have a Great Dane. I ramble a lot when I'm nervous. I can be really shy. I am the life of the party. I love meeting new people. I laugh like a donkey. I can be a bit insecure. I'm very indecisive. I'd rather eat vegetables than meat--not because I'm a vegetarian, but because I think veggies taste better. I still believe in true love. When I am stressed, I crawl into the tub with a glass of wine and Herbie Hancock in the background. I have a couple side jobs that I do to make extra money--booking events, coaching lacrosse, referee flag football, mowing lawns. I love being occupied--it makes me feel productive. I am going to Uganda in the near future. I have a weak heart. I love red wine. I'm allergic to alcohol--sometimes I break out in hives. My idea of relaxing is a trip to the park with a hot cup of tea and a Don Miller book. I fall in love with strangers. Chris and I were friends way before anyone knew him. I still believe there are good people in this world. ( )
