People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when darkness

About Me

My head before the wind; unreservedly I surrender to the present moment; suspended between yesterday and tomorrow I give myself generously and devote myself to today. I have no fear of failure and my daring knows no bounds, with nothing to lose everything is mine. I often act impromptu, luck is frequently on my side but mostly I am self confident. I embroider, compose and invent on all canvases. I am ready to embark on any adventure, I command myself. ~ Loyalty, trust, mutual respect, communication and honesty are characteristics that are important to me."Some people think only intellect counts: knowing how to solve problems, knowing how to get by, knowing how to identify an advantage and seize it. But the functions of intellect are insufficient without courage, love, friendship, compassion and empathy."

My Interests

Some see the world as a vast place and it frightens them to venture into the unknown, therefore, they remain content under their blanket of security, called boundaries. But for others, hope and imagination will carry us to worlds that never were, and without it, we go nowhere ~ as love to the soul gave eyes; and knew things are not as they seem, the dream is real life and the world around us is our dream.I enjoy shopping, cafes, lounges, movies, music, art and I love traveling. I have always been entrenched in a love affair with nature, a true appreciation with what most take for granted, perhaps because of repetition. I love color; I prefer lilies over dahlias, live orchids over cut flowers, flowering bushes and trees over non-flowering, vegetation that provide blazing fall colors over those that do not and awe-inspiring species. One of my true passions in life is Italy, as it enters the dawn of its fourth millennium of recorded history with a civilization as well documented and idealized as any on earth. A magical place with seductive powers one could only realize from their experiences of being there.Since the days of the Odyssey and Aeneid, legions of day-dreamers have felt its powers: conquerors and nomads, poets and painters, writers and aristocrats have too often dreamed of having Italy for themselves. So when you go, the Italy of old is not yet an illusion, but to experience it takes effort. Most of its history is easy to see; in fact, it lies just before your very eyes. However take time to explore the countryside and suspend your ready made images and idylls and surrender yourself to sensation. Do not try to make your own Italy; try to make Italy your own.The most wonderful of all things in life, is the discovery of another human being with whom one's relationship has a glowing depth, beauty, and joy. This inner progressiveness of love between two human beings is a most marvelous thing, it cannot be found by looking for it or by passionately wishing for it. It is a sort of Divine accident. Forgive my lips as they find joy in the most usual places.Relationships are like Rome; Difficult to start out, incredible during the prosperity of the ‘Golden Age’ and unbearable during the fall. Then, a new kingdom will come along and the whole process will repeat itself until you come across a kingdom like Egypt...that thrives and continues to flourish. This kingdom will become your best friend, your soul mate, and your love.Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres. Love never fails...Beauty is what she feels inside, and it reflects in her eyes. It is not something physical, you do not love her because she is beautiful; she is beautiful because you love her.

I'd like to meet:

Truman Capote, Red Skelton, and a long list of seventeenth and eighteenth century writers and poets. With regard to 'the one' well, let me say this, my interest and commitment lies to women with equally delicate features and frames. And then there is so much more...♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Music:

~ it's a sort of bloom on a woman. If you have it you don't need to have anything else; and if you don't have it, it doesn't much matter what else you have What is passion? It is surely the becoming of a person. Are we not, for most of our lives, marking time? Most of our being is at rest, unlived. In passion, the body and the spirit seek expression outside of self. Passion is all that is other from self. Sex is only interesting when it releases passion. The more extreme and the more expressed that passion is, the more unbearable does life seem without it. It reminds us that if passion dies or is denied, we are partly dead and that soon, come what may, we will be wholly so. I only wish to be the fountain of love from which you drink; every drop promising eternal passion. Nature always tends to act in the simplest way; and beauty is a lover’s gift. I have known countless people who were reservoirs of learning, yet never had a thought.

Movies:

One of the underrated pleasures of life, the movies, an escape from reality, even though for only a few hours. Some of my favorites; Hoosiers, Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, Titanic, Remember the Titans, The Bodyguard and Only You; not so much for their acclaim yet more about their message, their learning values; overcoming insurmountable odds, passion and hope, appreciation of life and its sudden demise, true unexpected love, following your heart, no matter what. The hardest of all is learning to be a well of affection, and not a fountain; to show them we love them, not when we feel like it, but when they do. And steal immortal blessings from her lips; who, even in pure and vestal modesty, still blush, as thinking their own kisses sin

Television:

Any number of years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you did not do than by the ones you did do... Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore ~ Dream ~ Discover.Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world. The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.

Books:

The hidden power of the heart, each moment is a doorway to time travel. Being in this very moment and no other, time as we know it stops. Then you can make another choice; you can stay in the same holographic pattern or you can choose a different one.

What I dream of is an art of balance, of purity and serenity devoid of troubling or depressing subject matter" A young girl, golden haired, stands dreaming on the verge of strife, magnificently unprepared for the long littleness of life.

Heroes:

My Mother ~ They change often; in general, those who recognize the difficulties of life and relationships and fight to work through the trying times opposed to running away, people who do not live life with a 'if it's meant to be, it will be' attitude. All in life that is realistic, if it is worthy, requires effort; nothing good comes without commitment and work. Those who can forgive but never forget dishonesty and betrayal in the worst of circumstances. and then there are toys!
