I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Astrologists say the stomach is the virgo nucleus and I am a living testament to this. Health, healing and maintenance of self all operate through my stomach-channel. I have explored vegetarianism, veganism and macrobiotics, but currently believe a living foods diet is best for me.

My Interests

raw food is yummy, raw food is in my tummy!

I'd like to meet:

Currently I am developing structured around healing through earth foods and holistic health considerations. I am looking to network with anyone committed to these concepts and interested.

Music:

Prince, Underground Hip Hop particularly from the Pacific and Jazz that is not smooth have been especially healing forces in my life. Currently playing is music from my cousin Gajah who does solo experimental music and also belongs to a group called Acid Reign.

Movies:

I love a variety of independent and even more mainstream cinematic efforts. I love to explore the different ways people see things.

Television:

The television, that insidious beast, that Medusa which freezes a billion people to stone every night, staring fixedly, that Siren which called and sang and promised so much and gave, after all, so little.
~Ray Bradbury, The Golden Apples of the SunSeriously, I stopped watching and owning televisions with regularity when I was 16 and my life is beautifully different because of it.

Books:

I love reading, it..s one of the most relaxing and beautiful activities in the world and I believe it can be a form of therapy. I fly through books like a bird. Some of the author..s that have affected my worldview the most are Frantz Fanon, Eduardo Galeano, Aime Cesaire, Umm Zakkiyah, Isabel Allende and Arundhati Roy.

Heroes:

my grandmother lucia navarrete (rip), my high school art teacher marlene ware, the prophet muhammad, malcolm x, marcus garvey, gabriel prosser, john coltrane, mary crow dog, ernesto che guevara, chief nzansu, rigoberta menchu, fidel castro, jim henson and anyone/everyone else who seeks/finds truth/freedom.
