Binary Miscreant

I have a hard time trying to define myself in a column that is titled too simply, 'about me'. If I write down things that are characteristically me, I automatically create an implied set of characteristics that I am not. However, over time, there are few things I am not. When it comes down to it, I live many different lives, some of them in conflict with one another. I enjoy experiencing the world's quirks, cultures, subcultures, and hidden facets. I love being the observer. I lean towards balance in life, I suppose this is why there are few things I fully reject as being apart of my character. I take everything in and reflect the good as well as the bad. Usually this is hard for others as its difficult to categorize my personality, actions, thoughts, and beliefs. Simply stated, I typically do not fall into categories.With that said..I am usually happy and easy going. I grew up in the country and love to be the only one for miles. I am especially partial to mountains. I feel most at peace when hiking or sitting up high and looking down at the valley.I love people and rarely judge on appearance, money, or material possessions. In fact I often don't notice at all. On the other hand, I tend to judge people on their behavior, thoughts, intellect, honor, and truthfulness. Whose to say which is worse.I love ancient history and civilization. Because of this, I yearn to travel the world. I have always had a particular affinity to Egypt and the ancient Middle East.I'm always thinking off in my own world. I typically have entire conversations in my head before I begin them, if I ever do, and I enjoy thinking about the theoretical.I enjoy being silly and playful. I still love to wrestle people to the ground and tickle the crap out of them. And a clever sense of humor always wins me over.I love animals.
