Originality is a must...

About Me

I am not an emcee . Emceeing is what I do (as a matter of fact it's only one of a lot of things I do); it's not who I am. It is not my purpose; it is an ability I have been blessed with in order to further my purpose. My purpose is to glorify God in Whose image I am made.

I think 18-wheelers are just about the dopest thing ever. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't want to drive one for a living though. (I have enough trouble parallel-parking the '98 Toyota Tacoma !)

I discovered hip-hop music in 1984 when I heard Run-DMC 's Sucker MCs. Started writing my own rhymes in 1987. (Back then, being white and rapping was a bit of a novelty .) Became a Christian in 1994 (the same year my second daughter was born) and dedicated my craft to the sharing of my faith. I joined the group Lojique in 2000. (it's pronouced "logic," people -- don't ask me why the weird spelling. Ask Nickels .) We have released two albums and are working on our third.

I am the least picky eater I know. Walnuts are bad. Mayonnaise is divine.

I do freelance graphic design evenings and weekends. I am self-taught; however, after numerous fruitless searches for full-time employment in the field, I am coming to the realization that I need to go back to school and get my degree.

Eighteen-wheelers! So much awesome power . Are you kidding me?

I have three kids (yep! Three!); barring divine intervention , I am not planning on having any more .

Rakim is the greatest emcee of all time. Please do not attempt to argue with me on this.

What's in a name?

I don't know why, perhaps I have too much time on my hands (or perhaps I'm just being lazy), but it occurs to me that to most of my male friends and associates I am "Mike," while to most of my female ...
