About Me

" He's an engaging weirdo", those were the words spoken on a summer night in the coffee shop. That can be taken in many ways. Odd, eccentric, awkward. Who knows. I might be those. I have many fascinations in this life. Cigarettes top the list. A deck of cards will always keep my hands busy, there's something calming about them that I can rarely find anywhere else. The constant shuffling and changing of patterns might be the trick to it. I speak what's on my mind, but I also say things just to see the reaction in someone's eyes. It is how I guage who this person might be. The written word and the drink will always be my mistress. I am now sitting here, staring at the screen wondering what else I could put, and it's a struggle to find what truly matters enough for myspace. Being For the Benefit of a Platypus and the Sound of a Sinner.

One missed call on both ends of the phone. There was a phone tag, but not for long. I found comfort in that I was showering when the phone rang. I couldn't hear it, but I tried not to listen. It took ...

The Ballad For Those Without Names.

Upon walking I came to a field, blinding with golden wheat. I couldn't look upon it straight, so I turned my back to it. I kept on my way down this road. The dirt was so worn to a point that it was gr...

The Routines of Oceans and Deserts.

This evening into the early hours of morning, my mind started the domino effect as it usually does. I was humming the song Veronica by Elvis Costello, which led me to remember his performance of Let&r...

Straight to Hell For a Swan Song.

I’ve seen your film before. A couple times, actually. The characters are familiar. They’re stale like this beer, and is all the more unsettling on the stomach. The plot was somewhat creati...

Let Them Go, Boys. Let Them Go.

Coffee, my comfort and most bitter of mistresses. They’ll stain teeth to remind you of your time together, and then send you in a frantic rush to the bathroom in oder to be expelled. Then, with ...

A Not So Eternal Spin

This balcony is starting to crumble, and it is snowing in front of me. I rest my head on the black railing, looking down at the concrete below me. Where did the cracks come from, which was the first o...

Who was Danielle. Not many could answer that, not even she could. And that was the way she preferred it. She, since her formulative years, would watch the black and white films of yester year. The sim...

Fleeting Thoughts on Driving.

Jonus was an odd bird. He lived in a series of contradictions that any attempt at description would appear to be hypocritical after time. He was both strong and vulnerable. There was conviction in him...

Battered Old Birds and FM Waves.

Whatever Doesn’t Kill You Makes You Stranger.

What kind of a world will you find when the vacation's over. When you've used all your sick days, and work calls you'll wonder what you'll find when you punch in. Left, right. Or was it right, left. I...
