My Interests

I like music, guitar, and chess.

I'd like to meet:

Intelligent, open minded people for good converstaions. It's always good to meet people with similiar interests, too.

Music:

Considering how music is like oxygen to me, I'll try to just hit the high points: Joe Satriani, John Petrucci, Steve Vai, Shawn Lane, Rusty Cooley, Katrina Johansson (check her out at www.katrinaguitar.com, she's amazing), Queen, Queensryche, Van Halen, most of the Classic Metal bands from the '80's, Dave Matthews Band, Trans-Siberian Orchestra (Al Pitrelli and Chris Caffery!!). Lisa Loeb (she's such a hottie with those glasses). Most Andrew Lloyd Webber musicals with Phantom of the Opera being my favorite. Also enjoy classical music. Beethoven, Liszt, Mozart, Salieri, Paganini, Grieg, Shostakovich, . I proudly play the following....

Movies:

School Of Rock, Crossroads (NOT the one with Britney Spears), Searching for Bobby Fischer, National Treasure, Immortal Beloved, Amadeus, Gone in 60 Seconds, Phantom Of The Opera, all the Star Wars and Lord of the Rings movies, The Incredibles, Cars, Shall We Dance. My favorite actors are Nicholas Cage, Richard Gere, Sandra Bullock and Valerie Bertinelli.

Television:

CSI (Las Vegas only, thanks). Jack's Big Music Show, Nip/Tuck, Scrubs (Dr. Cox is my hero).

Books:

Phantom Of The Opera by Gaston Leroux. This is who my son, Erik, is named after (yes, the Phantom had a name).

Heroes:

My late grandfather, James. I admire my wife for many different reasons. She is a wonderful mother, wife, and truly my hero because she can do things that I clearly cannot.

My guitar rig

Here's my first entry to my blog (woohoo), so I thought I'd give a breakdown of my guitar rig. First off, I play a 1999 Ibanez RG570 (they're called RG1570 now) grey pewter color. It's equipped with a...
