I love television. Intellectuals always downplay its significance, but for all its negatives (and there are a ton) it has some pretty amazing qualities. Perhaps its just the way I watch it. I can see sporting events I could never see in person, I can keep up the news junkie in me, and I can be thankful that I will never accept an offer from someone to reveal bad news to me on a talk show.
