M’Ocean

A never ending search for the perfect sound...

About Me

Hailing from New Jersey, M'Ocean (aka Michael Tomaselli) began his musical journey at a young age as a drummer. While pursing his love for drums/percussion, his interest in technology and electronic music grew as the years progressed. M'Ocean loves most genres of music, (such as: post-punk, coldwave, darkwave, punk, ebm, industrial, gothic, old school metal, thrash, classic rock, etc) but he was influenced greatly by the early sounds of electronic bands and he always knew that one day he wanted to be involved in creating electronic music.
Pushing ahead into the mid 90's, M'Ocean began to deejay pretty heavily, spinning various avenues of techno and tech house at clubs, parties and misc. events. During that time frame, M'Ocean started to focus more on the producing end of electronic music and began experimenting with different types of sounds. M'Ocean then enrolled and studied Sound Engineering and graduated from The Institute of Audio Research, NYC. Soon after, M'Ocean then pursued/studied Graphic Design, which is his main profession today, aside from music. M'Ocean is also currently attending The Art Institue Online, based out of Pittsburgh.
These days M'Ocean's dedication towards underground dance music brings heart, soul and energy into his work. You can hear a blend of driving rhythm, melody, groove, atmosphere and tribal-influenced percussion into his productions. M'Ocean's music can be heard all across the globe tearing up the dancefloors. M'Ocean is always experimenting with new ways to create twisted sounds, beats and grooves to keep the bodies moving on the dancefloor, or for your listening pleasure. M'Ocean thinks of his music as progressive, moving forward and constantly changing. This is only the beginning... -M'Ocean
