URGENT WARNING: DO NOT BUY EASTERN SUNZ NEW ALBUM NINE TRIANGLES, IT IS UTTER SHIT!Western Moonz was formed in 1984 at the local Provo Dairy Queen where TravisU worked and Cowardice often loitered. The two quickly found that they shared a superior rap prowess unmatched by anyone else in the known universe. The duo made a name for themselves by battling such local Utah legends as Grandmaster Bates, Assault Lake City, and Donny Osmond. Influenced by another one of the greatest on the mic, Bob Barker, the Moonz began performing at junior high schools spreading the message of pet neutering/spaying as well as hatred for the Eastern Sunz. The Western Moonz got their first big break in 1989 when they toured with the B-52s as their opening act. For the next 14 years TravisU continued to work at Dairy Queen while Cowardice worked on getting his GED. By the time they both had reached the age of 37, they were ready to strike. In 2005 the Moonz broke into the studio of New York radio station Hot 97 on air and began to drop a freestyle that would go down in history. The phone lines lit up instantly and the station received over 70,000 calls from listeners all wanting to know one question... what beat is that? The freestyle instrumental also caught the ear of none other than Jay-Z who did not hesitate to sign the group to his Def Jam Utah label. Though some critics claim the label was created as a tax write off, the Moonz vow to prove the haters wrong. In 2009 the Western Moonz will release their first full length album tentatively titled "Where the Sunz Don't Shine" and stake their claim in the hip hop hall of fame.
