About Me

My Interests

Photography, Balinese dance, Belly dance, Languages (I speak Portuguese, French and some Spanish), Travel (been to Cuba, Brazil, Bali, Java, Mexico, Denmark and The Faroe Islands...I think that's it...But I want to see it ALL!!!!!), Nature; Strong winds and ocean waves excite me! Good conversation, Cozying up on the couch to a good movie. Being a witness to other people's acts of kindness. My favorite store is the hardware store...it actually inspires me on an artistic level, Walking barefoot in the grass (not the fake grass of Cali., but real lush grass! ha!! ha!!), running my toes thru the sand on the beach, Laughter with friends and loved ones, The sound of wind chimes, etc... Oh! And above all, the sound of cicadas during summertimes spent in North Carolina! :)

Music:

A little bit of everything; world music to jazz, but mostly Indie/punkish/rockish/alternative stuff. I absolutely adore, "Most of the Time" and "Love sick" by Bob Dylan, Super Furry Animals is super funky, and above all, Radiohead makes my soul smile deep inside!

Movies:

I like too many to mention... However, I just saw "Shaun of the Dead" and thought it was pretty brilliant! If you like nature & art, like myself, "Rivers and Tides" the documentary about Andy Goldsworthy's work is a MUST SEE!

Television:

No thankyou

Books:

Currently reading, "He's scared, she's scared" by Julia Sokol --really good and helpful information!

Heroes:

Chief Seattle, Ghandi, Dalai Lama, Mother Teresa, Nelson Mandela, Edward R. Murrow and of course the Pillsbury Doughboy...
