Joe College

HIP-HOP IS DEAD!

About Me

Born and raised in Saint Louis, Missouri, Joe College has been in love with Hip-Hop/Rap since he could remember. Colleges style earlier in his career could be described as a lyrical conscious emcee with a gritty edge. Now having reinventing himself Joe Colleges style in more mainstream, but always ready to spit back at any emcee foolish enough to go there with him. Joe College started his music career in a group named Prophecy with two other local rappers named RedGee and Koupe. In the fall of 1999 the group began working with local producer and mentor Zo currently a member of the Trak Starz, Prophecy began recording tracks and touring preforming local. In the Summer of 2003 Prophecy signed with local manager Rob Evans, but by the end of the year Prophecy broke up and College found himself at a crossroads with his music career should he continue on as a solo artist or call it quits. After a six months hiatus Joe College hooked up with local Producer Scott Eagle from Outflow Productions and recorded tracks for the album tilted The Intersection that was released in late 2004 that featured over 20 local artists. In 2005 Joe College was also featured on The OutFlow Sampler and began recording tracks for his debut release tilted The Ransom snow currently recording his first solo CD entitled, The Ransom that was scheduled to come out in December, but the album was never released. After a two year stint with OutFlow Productions Joe College is now currently recording tracks with his once group member now turned producer Redgee out of Lacasa Studios, and will be releasing new material in late summer or early fall.
