********Biography********
As a high school student at Charlotte NC's Harding High, ATG was overheard by classmate Prime playing some beats that he had made. Prime was hypnotized, and therefore inspired, by the advanced quality of ATG's production. From then on the two young men along with one of ATG's long-time friends were determined to make it in the music industry. The three young men together created a group that would soon become known Bullet Proof. But due to differences in music philosophy the third member soon left the group, leaving only ATG & Prime.These two young men where determined to reach their goal! They would spend hours at a time in a cluttered smoldering hot room, no bigger than a horse’s stall, halfway taken up by an old weight bench. ATG made the beats on a computer program and some type of Yamaha, 61 key elementary, keyboard. They would record on an extremely cheap microphone plugged into the back of the computer. The microphone didn’t have a stand and was mounted on a crutch with a piece of cardboard and a rubber band. To enhance the sound quality of their music, ATG, created his own pop filter by wrapping a stocking around a roll of masking tape and mounting it on the crutch, in front of the microphone, with a bent wire hanger. The creative prowess and resolution exemplified by these young men was a sign of things to come.Due to their unparalleled work ethic, determination and musical quality, ATG & Prime quickly rose to local stardom, performing at clubs, homecomings, and parties all across the city of Charlotte, the Carolinas and Georgia. Together ATG & Prime have performed as opening acts and graced the same stages as international recording artists such as Juvenile, Rich Boy, Outkast, Killer Mike, Crime Mob, and The Alliance, just to name a few. The group released two albums in 2005 ("Dem Carolina Boiz", "Tha Queen City Street Vol. 1") and have since sold over 10,000 copies of their "Blankin' Muzik" mix tape in little over a year. They are now recognized throughout the United States as “Carolina’s underground kings.â€Even with all the clout, brilliant music, and local fame the duo has earned over the past 3 and a half years, ATG & Prime have not yet signed a major recording contract or distribution deal. Nonetheless they’re still going strong.
