I am a GAMER. I'm a proud member of PMS Clan. I play Quake 4. I am the current MsQuakecon reigning champion (2005)!
Professional Gaming is becoming more and more like an underground sport, like how skateboarding was 30 years ago. Gamers all around the world have fine tuned their skills to be the best in their respective games. It's not just about blowing up heads and shit, in competitive dueling (1 vs. 1), the player must be knowledgeable of the map (level) played on, and know all of its quirks, and quickest routes from point A to B. Players must have pencil sharp timing on all items, like Armors which spawn every 25 seconds, and mega health every 35 seconds. Gamers will simultaneously time these items, all the while predicting which path his opponent will take. It's much more complex than point-click-fire. Customization in Quake has so many possibilities, which makes a recipe for good movement (in game) very hard to define. All the pro players have effortlessly smooth movement in and out of turns and across the map in just seconds. It's definitely much more complicated than a simple 'move forward' 'move backward' or 'move right/left' buttons, it's the combinations possible that make it so spectacular. There is so much strategy involved it's ridiculous! But fun. I love it. And yes I do have my favorite game's logo tattooed on my back.
Some pet peeves:
I don't like it when people chew really loudly, please don't chew like a cow!
On Life:
I am very ambitious, I always want to do everything, but there isn't enough time and money for that! I also find it very relaxing to just sit back and be lazy :) and wear my lazy-pants, as I call them.
Why isn't there a job where I can just admire nature, sit back and relax? Nope, have to work to save the environment if I ever want to do that!
I'm very competitive, and I always play to win, but of course, I wouldn't play if it was not fun, GGs!
