I like a wide variety of music, but the primary focus is on rock, mostly hard rock. Currently it's Distrubed, Crossfade, Papa Roach, Shinedown, etc. I also like late 80's and early 90's rock and some grunge. A little country, a little jazz and classical too. And oldies from the 50's and 60's when the mood strikes. I can't help it, I grew up listening to the Beach Boys, The Ventures, and CW McCall. In the days of the 8-track.
I don't watch many movies, but I'm a James Bond fan, Monty Python, Jackie Chan and Jet Li fan, and the Hong Kong style Kung-Fu style martial arts (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, House of Flying Daggers, etc). I prefer to spend my time doing something productive, but I do sit down sometimes and watch a movie with the family. Then I get up and feel guilty about what didn't get done in those 2 hours!
I watch very little TV. If the TV in my house was stolen, it would take me a few days to notice. That's only because the rest of the family would be whining about it!! I am a big CSI fan, but I've missed most of Season 5 and all of Season 6. I like comedies, and will watch Comedy Central a lot. I also like the educational stuff like Discovery, TLC, History, etc.
I don't get to read as much as I would like. When I do read, I like Tom Clancy, Larry Bond, Jonathan Kellerman, Dean Koontz, and Max Allan Collins (CSI Books). I read magazines more often, like Handyman Club, American Woodworker, PC World, Shop Notes, and 4x4 Adventures.
I don't have "heros", but I do have a lot of people I look up to and admire. They are friends, current and past. They are co-workers, current and past and those who made the ultimate sacrifice. 2 names that stand out above the rest are Mike Marshall and Jason Cammack. They are the hero's in my book.
