About Me
"My earliest musical influence began with my father". His father was a self-taught musician and played many instruments, including piano, guitar, and drums. Kevin's interest in music was sparked by his father's enthusiasm and Kevin began to teach himself to play various instruments as well. Kevin wrote his first song when he was 10 and fell in love with the gifts and talents of creativity that God had given him.
Growing up in the small, rural town of Wilmot in Southern Wisconsin, he had a lot of time to think, play, and create in his life. He began to concentrate on guitar and paino and continued writing. His career performance began while he was still in High School, where he played locally at private parties, fairs, and festivals.
After high school, Kevin continued playing festivals, open mic nights, private parties and venues, including The Detriot Music Festival, The Rave in Milwaukee, Twin Lakes Libertyfest,THE WINE KNOT, Starbucks, and Milwaukee's Miramar Theater, etc. etc.....
Kevin Hammond's musical type can best be described as acoustic/pop - with a delivery that is uniquely his own. His vocal performance is what many fans are especially impressed with.
Kevin's success has been the result of independent promotion, live performances, the Internet and word of mouth. Kevin's latest recordings done at "Revolver" Studios,for Blue Revolution Records, Produced by Mikal Blue, are only the beginning of the music to come!!!
