About Me

My name is Sal. I sing in a band called Dead Ellington. I go to Berklee in Boston and I live in Allston. I also do merch in a band called Kicked In The Head. This is my story.I was born a wee-lil latino in the heart of Boston. I grew up in Roslindale and The moved to Framingham. I come from a long line of guitarist on my dads family. I had no idea of the powers I held in these hands until I was 8. I tried guitar and nothing. I tried Piano and nothing. One day I went to camp and there was 2 options for me left to pick for class. Drums or Ballet. I choose DUN DUH DAH! Drums. I sucked for ever and though myself by listening to aerosmith cds and punk rock cds.In middle school I (Sal) learned about the wonderious universe of myself. I realized I hated Alcohol and Drugs. I didnt hate the people that did it but I hated it for myself. Don't drink or do drugs till this day.In High School I discovered the local boston scene and made friends with Big D and Kicked In The Head. I booked my first show with KITH and made Roadkill Productions. After that a friendship grew and I did my first tour at 17 with KITH and they taught me everything. They are the older brothers I never had.Since I've been in and out of bands and finally am in a band that has a future with my best friend Jason Caira. We are called Dead Ellington. We were The Knockout Kings and I played drums but after a lot of bullshit I ended up singing and I love it.
