My son put me up to this. He told me that it's about time I started telling people who I am and what his Daddy has done over the years. He's my number one fan. He says I'm his hero. I'm just Bill! He has also seen his daddy go and play, and be gone gigging in his toddler years, when I should have been there for him. But I wasn't able too until I sobered up. Well, I've been thinking about what he said and he's right! I worked to damn hard to have my thunder stolen. We never know when God is going to bring us home. I have played drums for over 40 years. I have played with the same band for over 32 years now, I have taken a few sabbaticals, off and on, for a few years due to health problems and raising my son. The name of that band is called “The Havana / Indio Blues band†Which I am the original drummer and have colaborated with songs written by the other original co-founding member, John LaMain, who sings and plays lead Guitar. The third original co-founder member is our bass player Mark Fry. The band was established in 1976. There have been many incarnations over the years with other members added. most of the songs that the oridginal drums and bass parts have already been recorded. (Copyright 1991). I loved playing with these guy's. John LaMain is one of the most brilliant musician's and song writter's I have ever had the honor to play with. And the Bassest, Mark fry, if it wasn't for me riding him like a wild bull for the first 20 years, I know he wouldn't have been able to play with the top performers e.g. Bill Lordan project, Greg Serrato, and a host of others. A lot of you on Myspace will never have heard me or of the band before, and I know that Myspace is full of excellent Drummers who are far more advanced than I, as well as younger and better looking too. It's the principle! I have played with these guys for over 1/2 of my life. How many of my brother drummers out there can say that. Yes all three original members have played with some very well know players. And yes, we are a really good band. The three of us together, have a style and power, that is as Unique as it is versatile. My Discography with the Indio Blues Band is: Bill White on Drums 1976-1980, Part of 1981, 1986-1996, partial 2004 & partial 2005, 2006.I am also a friend of Bill W. and have been sober for 17 years one day at a time. I will now leave the drinking up to the professionals. I have raised my son and I look forward to my 2nd half of my life with ah and wonder. I look forward to getting even with my son by spoiling my grand children and then send them home to him.I am a Hepatitis-C advocate and am helping to educate people about this disabling disease, and too help find a cure. It’s too bad that all we have for advocates are Pamela (frickin it’s all about me) Anderson and Naomi (the whiner) Judd. If other big time artist would like to help out with this worthy cause and have family or friends that are infected, please contact me. I could also use some help from people who are stars that have already had liver transplants, to come forward to work with me. Anonymity would be observed. But we need pretty well known artist that have family or freind's who are infected, but are not infected them selfs to speak up for this cause. We need some "big gun's", so to speak, to help get some real advocates in Washington. I also promote the Liver foundation and ask that people fill out there organ donor cards. Over 18,000 people are put on the Liver transplant list every year. Only 5,000 people per year ever get the gift of life. Get tested! HCV is now more of an epidemic than HIV is. Beware the Dragon!
