I like independent films and disturbing movies that make you think. I've seen way too many "entertaining" movies lately. Gimme Fight Club, Pie, Donnie Darko, THX 1138, Butterfly Effect, Requiem For a Dream, 12 Monkeys, Ringu, Eraserhead, Trainspotting, etc. Can't live without movies with a great story, anything animated, and movies with kickass visual effects- Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, etc.
