I love music, cooking, gardening, g-junking (going to a second, third or fifth hand store and finding something of value to me), reading, walking/hiking, having an interesting thought provoking conversation
When I was in high school and university, I had a poster above my desk. It was a poem call "If" by Rudyard Kipling. I'd read it for inspiration, especially if I was feeling down or discouraged.....then I'd take a breath and keep going. Being female, I DID change the word "man" to "woman" in the last sentence :)
I'd like to meet people who aspire to any one of those "ifs".
I DO have two rules....I like to have conversations with people.......NOT just friend and that's it. If all you want to do is increase your friend count, I am not for you.
The second rule is this......I'm on DIAL-UP....if your profile is so cluttered it takes me ten minutes to download it to read it.......please don't bother, 'kay?
all kinds.....Loreena McKennit, Sarah Mclaughlin, Abba, Evanescence, Queen, Audioslave, Nickelback, Collective Soul, AC/DC, Christina Aguilera, Low Millions, Operator, 3 Days Grace, Rob Thomas, The Guess Who, Blue October
The original three Star Wars Movies, the first Matrix movie, Remember the Titans, Fast and the Furious, Planes Trains and Automobiles, Last of the Mohicans, Top Gun, It's a Wonderful Life, Sweet Home Alabama, The Fugitive, The Hunt For Red October, Fight Club. I like movies that were the first of their kind and that changed the way that films were made or written, and I also like movies that have amazing dialogue or really good plot.
I watch very little television.....the internet is more interesting at the moment. I do sometimes watch Heroes, Grey's Anatomy, Judge Judy (yes really!), Ghost Whisperer. I like nature shows or scientific shows......does anyone remember a show called Science International?
Too many to list, and it depends on my mood. I'll read sci/fi, fantasy, mystery, historical, ghost stories, romances, mainstream, etc etc. I read for information too.....even cookbooks (how's that grab ya!).
People who help others with no thought for themselves.
