Merry Meet

About Me

Obsessive learner and lover of life. Author, healer, public speaker, civic instigator. Founder and former President of Cherry Hill Seminary, a Pagan seminary with students nationwide. www.revkirkwhite.com ------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------------- I currently spend most of my time: 1) writing books on Paganism. My first two books, "Adept Circle Magick: A Guide for the Advanced Wiccan Practitioner" and its companion "Advanced Circle Magick: Essential Spells and Rituals for Every Season" are on the shelves and I am working on a third, fourth, etc. 2) traveling to festivals around the country speaking and teaching advanced Wicca, magick and healing classes. 3) teaching classes at home in Vermont. 4) working as Co-Founder of the National Association of Pagan Schools and Seminaries. 5) practicing and teaching healing: especially Oriental medicine.

My Interests

Religion, philosophy, and spirituality. Politics - local and national. Travel, cultures, history, medicine and healing, anything that makes me go "hmmmm". I want to learn everything.

I'd like to meet:

Everyone. I love people of all sorts - for friends, co-conspirators, and co-creators. ------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------------- I welcome contact for whatever reason, just to chat, talk, share ideas, or if you just want to be on my list of people I contact about classes and events I'll be at.

Music:

Like most everything except country music. Even some of that isn't too awful. Tend towards screaming guitars but like jazz, blues, punk, various alt. bands. Listen to a lot of classical at work.

Movies:

The Razor's Edge, Gandhi, Angel Heart, Matrix. Tolkien is good.

Television:

Do not watch it much but I like HBO's Big Love, Carnivale, the Simpsons, South Park and the Daily Show. My most recent obsession is/was Lost.

Books:

Foucault's Pendulum by Umberto Eco, Siddhartha by Herman Hesse, The Illuminati! Trilogy and other works by Robert Anton Wilson. I am a copious reader ranging from classics to mind candy.

Heroes:

Every person I meet enthralls and humbles me with their beauty and courage. Everyone has an amazing story, even if they don't think so themselves. To be alive is a noble act so everyone is my hero.

Harvest Home Gathering 2008

Wicca and Service

A couple years ago at Pantheacon, I walked into the middle of an argument.  One side was arguing that we, as Wiccans who love and worship the Earth, owe it to the Goddess to take care of Her body...

Friday Pantheacon began in all of its glory.  Being an event of 3000 Pagans all squeezed into a relatively small space, it quickly becomes a blur.  My day started out joining my friends from...
