About Me

Recovering addict (a relapse is planned, at least) to nearly all things with two wheels, motorized and the non-motorized variety. In a nutshell, motorcycles make me happy. I'm habitually broke due to a club racing habit. Specifically, a crashing habit. A good quote about racing is, "Racing makes heroin addiction seem like a mild craving for something salty."
I also really like to read bad movie reviews, actually this goes for most any review in general, as long as the reviewer hates what they are reviewing. I dont know what it is but I can't get enough of it. Yelp is way good for this, who knew the internet would continue to innovate in distraction and time-wasting? I'm fascinated with the recent explosion in "Themed casual-dining restaurants". It's not that I want to eat there, but I just have to know about them. How many ways can you serve fajitas, anyhow? Ad copy on the back of any ostentatiously "gourmet" potato-chip bag is fun to read.
If there is any life lesson I'd like to pass on to people, it would be that, no, you don't have to get a shot of Jaeger every time you go to the bar, just because you "really want to party". You might try to get out of a moving cab at some point, or something equally smart.
Coffee always, but not as much as Fritch, that's just obscene.

My Interests

motorcycles, motorcycle racing, track instructing, dirt bikes, road bicycles, soul-crushing pain, video games, road trips, bar hopping, drinking tall cans in alleys. Anything olde-timey. Steam engines, steam plants, large machinery, shipyards, anything on a massively industrial scale. Ships, planes, tanks, machine guns, flamethrowers, cluster munitions, and beagles...I really want a beagle puppy. Reading books I've already read, because when I walk into the bookstore I cant make up my mind, so I just give up and re-read whatever. Sarcasm & the darkest humor possible. Telling stories I've already told to new people that haven't heard them. One day I hope to play D&D with NickG.

I'd like to meet:

I dont get to see enough of my current friends as it is. But I can make room for friends of friends, and those with similar interests. I will make exceptions for George Peppard, Lee Marvin, or Steve McQueen.
