About Me

I also have a blog that I hardly ever update, so if you want to check that out, then CLICKIE HERE FOR MY BLOG
I grew up here in WA State but lived on the east coast for about ten years. We just moved back last summer, and I'm still trying to get used to being here-a lot has changed. The pizza sucks but the coffee is okay, so things could be worse. It's nice to be in touch with old friends, and I never get tired of seeing the mountains and water.
I am now back in school, so I'm officially a college student, lol. I'm working on my associates in Information Technology and Networking, and my goal is to continue on from there for my bachelor's. Looking to work my ass off and have it all done in about 36 months, which is a tall order to fill, but I'm motivated.
We have an 8 year old son who is truly the both of us crammed into one little person which is kind of a trip, heh. He's really the most incredible thing that I've ever encountered in my entire life, and we're lucky to have him. I'd give my right arm and maybe even my left just to have one more.
There's not really much else to say. I LOVE to knit, I'm a constant daydreamer, I'm a video game junkie, but mostly I enjoy .. games, like Dark Age of Camelot, City of Heroes and Guildwars. I like coffee, I love animals. HATE spiders. I mean, I really HATE them. I'm a night owl, I hate mornings, and I love tarantula margaritas with my Mexican food.Create or get your

My Interests

Spending time with my family, knitting, daydreaming .. gaming, Nintendo Wii, knitting, music, Dark Age of Camelot, movies, knitting omg!! and my blog at www.lorrix.blogspot.com:)

I'd like to meet:

Would love to hear from old friends from school to see what you've been up to :) Shoot me a message, let's get caught up!

I would also love to meet other knitters/yarn addicts, people who enjoy blogging, .. gamers, video game junkies, and if you have a Nintendo Wii, then message me and we can exchange our Wii ID's

Music:

I like a lot of the short-lived bands from the 80's. (go go Time Life Hits of the 80's collection!!) I mourned the loss of the real Headbanger's Ball. I have a lot of classical music crammed into my Ipod along with a lot of obscure crap that no one has likely heard of, including stuff my hubby picked up when he was at music college in Boston that he introduced to me. Currently, I've been listening to My Chemical Romance a lot, as well as Under the Influence of Giants, who my son also has on his own ipod.

Movies:

Well, I guess this falls into the same category as my music stash. Bueller??? Bueller?? If it was in the 80's, we own it. Only my husband has stashed it waaaaay in the back of the shelves so no one else sees it. /hangs head in shame.

Television:

I'm totally into "Heroes!" Then I am a Thursday night addict...I love "Scrubs", "My name is Earl", "The Office" and "ER". I guess that's about it...I'm not really into watching TV any other nights.

Books:

I really enjoy reading anything knitting related. I enjoy a good mystery too, as long as it's not one of those books that have a predictable ending. I like to read most everything, but I just never seem to have the time to get into books these days. I guess if I got off the computer once in a while.....nah. :)

Heroes:

*Anyone who wants something, goes after it, and gets it.
*People who are scared of things or of change, but do it anyway.
**Cancer survivors.
*People who give up their lives to do good for those who aren't as fortunate, or to fight for their country or for someone else's.
*Anyone who has never taken advantage of my trust in some form or another.
