About Me

BE FOREWARNED. Used to be an Experience meant making you a bit older. This one makes you wider. With the assistance of Mitch Mitchell (on drums) and Noel Redding (on guitar), Jimi Hendrix breaks the world into interesting fragments. Then reassembles it. You hear with new ears, after being Experienced. Those who've only seen him perform only know part of This Experience. They rave about a young man who plays a guitar in more positions than anybody before him. Now, this debut album will put the heads of Hendrix' listeners into some novel positions. "...One for de Burgomeistah!...." I am 6'4," 272lbs. and I hail from Los Angeles from a more innocent time when...............the Stylistics and Delfonics ruled the AM airwaves, when Gumby was prime time television with Get Smart, when little girls played with Mrs. Beasley dolls and little boys had Hot Wheels sets, when the Mercury Cougar was born, when The Summer Of Love occurred and when The Rolling Stones released the "Flowers" album as Brian Jones attended The Monterey International Pop Festival to introduce Jimi Hendrix as, "the most exciting performer I’ve ever heard.” ......and when Syd Barrett ruled the world of psychedelic Telecaster playing!!! BE FOREWARNED.

Music:

I like complex and spatial soundscapes textured with a tad bit of beauty of dejected misery. And then some. Clear, blue-skied days with puffy white clouds and the sun peeking through the frozen, late winter air to sear the skin with golden sunlight-------well, that's alright by me.

Movies:

The Guns Of Navarone (1961) is my favorite flick. How I Won The War (1967), 633 Squadron (1964), Mosquito Squadron (1970), Blue Velvet (1986), River's Edge (1986), Apocalypse Now (1979), Over The Edge (1979), Fantasia (1940), Brainstorm (1983), Strategic Air Command (1955) and just about any music band DVD that rocks..........and the original The Adventures Of Baron Von Munchausen (1961).

Television:

(I am totally non-plused by TV except for watching the Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Seattle Seahawks.)

Books:

"Strangely Enough" (1968) and "Two-Minute Mysteries" (1971) are a couple of my favorite books. "The Eagle Has Landed" (1975). "The Prince" (1513). "A Clockwork Orange" (1962). "Up Periscope" (1956). "Flight Deck" (1961). "The Happy Hooker" (1972).
