It aint where you from it’s where your at, say’s Mac-D in his first single Rep Your hood. Damian George A.K.A Mac-D was born in New Orleans but moved to Louisville, KY when he was 12 yr’s old. Mac-D’s unique voice, style and banging beats in which he produced has gained him thousands of fans across the world.Rapping since early childhood, Mac-D released his first project entitled "Money" in 2004, which was well-received in the music community but never had the proper push it needed to get his buzz going. In 2005 Mac-D went on to win a contast called Rock Da Mic out of 45 local artist from around the Kentucky area. The contest helped Mac to build his name around Louisville. He then went on to release his first mixtape which was produced by himself entitled Block “Banga Vol 1†and pushed well over 3500 units through out Kentucky, West Virginia & Florida. Mac then re-released Block Banga Vol 1 with exclusive songs on it. The re-released version had a track entitled "So Fresh So Fly, which was an instant hit. Dj cinnamix at B96.5 heard the track and later that night she played it on her mix show. The song went into rotation right after that and established Mac-D as one of the hottest artist/producers around. Following the success of "So Fresh So Fly", Mac recorded another radio hit with a artist by the name of Young Nitt called “Hump Thangâ€. This song became a hit single and even the Louisville cardinals dance team would do the “Hump Thang†while they danced at half time of football and b-ball games. Mac was also featured on the Louisville Cardinals football teams theme song “R U Readyâ€, which got national exposure while being played at every uofl game. Mac has since went on to produce other radio hits for other local artist like Hurricanes “Where They Do That At†& Dirty’s “What Cha Gon Tell Meâ€. He has also been featured on numerous amounts of mixtapes and has attracted the attention of the music industry by opening up for numerous major acts including Jim Jones, T.I, Young Jeezy, Juvenile, Lil Scrappy, Young Buck, Dem Franchise Boyz, Crime Mob, Trillville as well as performing before large crowds in the Louisville area. Mac is currently working on a new album which is scheduled for release in Fall of 2007.
