Anyone and Everyone. I'm always looking for new friends and the like. I'm also searching for that special someone, but not trying to push things. Basically, if you're fun to be around and have a good outlook on life, send me a message!
When it comes to music, I'm pretty much happy with most. I used to work in a music store, and I've played drums/percussion since 6th grade, so I've heard pretty much everything and can pretty much appreciate anything - even some of the stuff I don't like. I'm not too fond of country, hip/hop, rap or R&B but other than that I'll enjoy myself.
As far as favorites go, I have some rather odd and eclectic tastes. I typically like groups that have female vocalists. Favorite band is Sixpence None the Richer - they're an EXTREMELY versatile group, but is typecast under the veil of its one hit wonder. I like their earliest work the best, but really enjoy all of it.
Let's break this into some overall categories...
Comedy: Liar Liar (the outtakes are the best!)
Musical: Rocky Horror Picture Show (an odd, but interesting movie)
Sci-Fi: probably a tie between the original Jurassic Park and Return of the Jedi
Horror: SAW - haven't seen the second one yet, hope it's just as good
Disney: Beauty and the Beast (not totally sure why)
Action: Indiana Jones & the Last Crusade
War: Saving Private Ryan
Foreign: Life is Beautiful (it's better in Italian
Family: The Princess Bride (yes, I know I'm corny)
Favorite film of all time: Forrest Gump - this movie has everything - sports, war, romance, humor, drama, you name it! (this also counts for my favorite drama movie too)
Favorite Show of all Time
Seinfeld: This show was made with 4 awesome characters, who care's if it's a show about nothing?
Favorite Show Still Running
That 70's Show: It's set in Wisconsin, so it has to be good
Um yeah, so That 70's show is done - but it's still great
Favorite Book of all Time:
Frankenstein:
If you can ignore all of the Hollywood stereotypes and misconceptions, it's a great book. I had the great fortune of having to read it for a class and write an essay on it (it was already my favorite book by then) so it was a piece of cake assignment.
Other Books:
The Spear of Destiny:
I'm kind of torn on this one - it's about Hilter and Nazi Germany and talks about a conspiracy that Hitler was using the dark arts in WWII. I'm not sure how much credibility to lend to this book - it all could end up being a hippy-drug-induced mind-trip book - I guess the jury is still out.
The Chronicles of Narnia:
Never read them as a kid - had to read them before seeing the movie - enjoying them a lot - tons of religious allegories.
Wild Blue:
It's about B-24 crews during WWII. It's amazing to see what it was like back then - as I read this one, I'm wondering if I would have still wanted to fly with the risks they knowingly undertook.
As a Man Thinketh:
This is one of the most inspiring books I have ever read. I find it hard to embrace a lot of works meant for inspiration, but this one really spoke to me. It speaks of the power of pure thought and intentions and how it can influence your life - it is very empowering and uplifting - everyone should read this book.
