Victimized by the incompetence of others.

About Me

Adjectives are my forte. I am capable of anything."Yeah, yeah, I know. Getting raised by wolves is it. That's the stuff. That's the shit, right there. If you want to be raised by anything, make it wolves. I know a family member of the Roman boys who told me, 'Yeah, a couple of rabbits found them first but they were like, hop along little cottontail, the sons of Mars are not about to be raised by stew fodder.' ""And that's the story of my life. In a world where the sons of gods are found on the banks of rivers and raised by wolves, I was found on a bench at a strip mall as a toddler and raised by a possum. Is it any wonder why I have trouble with confrontation?"

My Interests

Traveling, BJJ , Spanish, the written word (dare I say the craft of writing?), reading the written word, bicycle adventures , cylotourism , vegan cuisine and vivacity.

I love vivacity.

I'd like to meet:

OK, OK. I've come up with a list:
- Ira Glass : I wish we could meet at a dinner party. I'd like to think he'd like me, and he'd want to do a TAL segment on me. Hey, a boy can dream.
- Noam Chomsky : Whatever, I'm liberal scum.
- Hayao Miyazaki : I'd really, really like to know what he think makes for a good story, because he's made films of some amazing tales. He seems to have one of those senses for story that crushes lesser men.
- Toni Graham : she was my first creative writing professor, and read my first, miserable attempts at (genre) fiction. I'd like to buy her a tasty beverage and talk to her about fiction, life and how much better I've gotten (which would most likely be followed by how much further I have to go).

Music:

Defiance, Ohio; GSY!BE, EITS, Blood for Blood, Neurosis, High on Fire, Down, Right Brigade, Fortunate Son, HOVA, Jedi Mind Tricks, Suicide File, Cursed and I'm always game to hear a good story.

Movies:

I'm selling all of my DVDs.

Television:

Korean television is something of a mockery.

Books:

I'm horrible at reading what I should and not enjoying what I shouldn't. I've failed at literary elitism, and so I over compensate. I like books about boxing, drugs, suicide, space, infinite improbability drives, apathetic drifters, gun slingers, insanity, sanity and Nihlism in both action and inaction.

Scribes are a deluded bunch

Ah, the much romanticized act of writing. Everyone these days is a poet, novelist, commentator, editor or petty scribbler (though most of those that claim to be in the previous camps are more likely p...

Remember Emo? I do.

I'm protective of music. Well, to be perfectly honest, I'm protective of any sort of cultural exercise from the clutches of soulless marketing and the malaise of ignorance. When Emo reared its head...

Wow, your pectoral muscles are bulging.

I really don't get the onslaught of MySpace pictures of shirtless men who seemingly spend the bulk of their adult lives stacking weight onto bars and then moving it vigorously. Don't get me wrong, I c...
