In a genre of music where haircuts have become more important than the music itself, First Time Caller, Long Time Listener is a band staying true to why they started playing. The band is not about overstylized hair, or whose pants are the tightest. It is about making good music, and pouring everything they can into the songs they write. They are not depending on the fashion of the band. They are trying to write songs that completly depend on the content of the music.
After changing names and members, the current line-up came together at the end of 2005. FTCLTL try to keep progressing as a band, constantly write new and unique music. Like many, it is hard to put them in a particular category. But, that is what they hope will help seperate them from many of the other bands, and will allow them to have a sound all their own.
