About Me

*KI (which translates to spiritual strength, spiritual essence, soul or life energy of a person) the Norf London *Ronin (which translates to Master less samurai but Literally means, "one adrift on the waves.”) started “emceeing” in his early school days at the age of 16. Heavily influenced by the Wu tang clan KI first started “spitting” and performing the lyrics of the critically acclaimed wu tang clan at school shows and school year assembles with his childhood friend Rizario. By the end of the school year, himself and a few of his friends (after hearing what they played on mainstream radio) decided to form a hip hop/grime/rock crew naming themselves DNA (Dirty Norf Assassins) which was later changed to Itzblitz. After entering college he collaborated with a few local emcees, which coincidently didn’t give him the rush he used to feel from performing on stage so he decided to broadcast his talent and hooked up with hip hop producer/DJ DJ Downlow and Hip Hop emcee Baraka and started to performing on Private radio and open mic sessions and paid venues from London to Brighton. By the beginning of 2005 after doing open mics and paid venues KI decided to release a solo mix tape but due to disagreements with the mixing and mastering producer for the mix tape, the mix tape was throw to the side leaving KI bitter and confused. Deciding to give up music altogether the mic was then put down for the best part of 2005. However after previously recording a track called 8 bars of fury with DJ Downlow KI was told that this track was getting heavy airplay and constant rewinds on itch FM (who DJ Downlow was DJ’ing for,) and so after some thorough convincing from Rizario he decided to try it one more time and picked up the mic for the 1st time in months. After 2 short weeks he recorded two new tunes G.R.I.T.T.Y and Wasting time (which are both on his mix tape.) To his surprise people started hearing about his skill through the grapevine and he would be harassed to “bust freestyles in the street” this is when he then furiously started to write for his mix tape, whilst meeting new producers such as Chibba and Cession. During the spring of 2006 he and co producer B.A.S.E travelled to Brooklyn new York to visit KI’s family and by some crazy chance they got interviewed and was given the opportunity to perform on an underground DVD named boss up. After they returned back to the UK KI released a street tape called Enter north London the E.P for friends, family and people in his area to see if he could pass the 1st test, he thought if you impress those around you it wouldn’t be too long before he could impress everyone. Fast-forward to 2007 KI met up with don’t stay in’s film director “naked Jake” and together filmed KI’s 1st video “represent Ya crew” whilst finishing of his solo mix tape.Enter North London is the 1st mixtape from KI. known for his unique word play, harsh social reference and ability to switch to either "grime" or "hip hop", this up coming artist undoubtedly will rise to the top of the Uk urban scene. With a video on the way this mixtape is a great buy for its price! If your a fan of either hip hop, grime or just a fan of music this is a mixtape for you!!!

Influences: Life, there is no better teacher. “The creator”, for putting me on the earth, so I can shine and show my talents. “Family and friends,” without them it’s impossible to become what you become. Music, it’s in my bloodstream it’s in my soul. “Wu Tang Clan”, my first hip hop teachers. “Tupac Amaru Shakur”, my favourite ghetto story teller, also the first man that made me look at life in depth. Jazz, the first taste of music I liked and could play relatively well. Soul/Motown, all that my mum and dad played, well that and reggae. Great leaders, too many to name, however they have played a vital role in shaping and framing my mind. Reading, can’t get enough of it, helps me escape reality. Oppression, one thing I can’t stand and have felt, but influences me to talk about. Martial Arts, my first way of life, 1st half. Hip hop, my second way of life, 2nd half. For bookings contact me at [email protected]
