I used to say that these days it seems I'm wasting it all away working, watching TV & movies, playing with Marv & Bella, and going to see live shows, but I get my laffs where I can, especially with Anthony, Fez, Ron, Opie and Li'l Jimmy.
NOW, however. . .I pretty much say it again.
People who like to laugh and dance. Oh yeah, and a couple of monks wouldn't hurt, maybe a nun, or even a dominatrix - I'm not all that paticular.
I also like to meet Irish people, even though I'm Italian.
I'd like to meet the X-Men.
And Steve Jobs. Oh yeah - I met him already.
OK, I'll take Jessica Simpson instead.
moe. is my favorite right now.
Other than that, it's Zappa, Floyd, Phish, Talking Heads, Pogues, Monster Magnet, Underworld, Primus, Smetena, Blackalicious, Umphrey's McGee, Panic, Dead, GZA, Tori Amos, Fink, The Disco Biscuits, Funki Porcini, Tosca, Neil Diamond, Shortback, The Great Apes, Nas, Diamond Head, Rainbow, Sabbath, Plan9, Happy Mondays, Groove Armada, Morcheeba, FSOL, Orbital, Dr. Dre, The Orb, Stereolab, Dio, Crystal Method, Stone Roses, Air, Roxy Music, Disciples Of Your, DJ Shadow, P-FUNK, Joy Division, Anthrax, Space, STS9, Soullive, Nightmares On Wax, The New Deal, The Who, Stereo MC's, De La Soul, The Smiths, My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult, White Zombie, Ennio Morricone, and anything else that rocks, funks, grooves or tusks.
I've also become a new fan of Italo and other European disco music, such as Black Devil Disco Club. In fact, you should have a look see into the mystery that is 28 After.
I watch a lot of movies.
It's all about VIC MACKIE motherfuckers. The Shield is the best show on telly, and it's about to end THIS FALL BITCHES..
After that, it's LOST, Smallville, South Park, and that new show, Heroes.
The Malazan Book Of The Fallen is probably the best series I've read, ever. I HIGHLY recommend Gardens Of The Moon, but be warned - you won't have a fucking clue what the hell is really going on until book 6. But it's one HELL of a good ride, highly enjoyable. Just don't let your head hurt from trying to figure everything out at once.
I just finished banging out Steel Beach and Golden Globe by John Varley. GodDAMN does he rock. I started reading Empire by Orson Scott Card, but got tmeporarily distracted and am now starting The Dragonbone Chair by Tad Williams - I hear it's pretty freakin' fantastic.
Of course, I'm now reading neither Empire nor The Dragonbone Chair, having abandoned both. I've since finished The Sword Of Truth (Rise up and live it, fuckers!), read Acacia: The War With The Mein, and am now ensconced in The Blade Itself, a great first effort b Joe Abercrombie.
I also enjoy various other books in the sci-fi/fantasy realm, including, in no paticular order, The Wheel Of Time, A Song Of Ice & Fire, Mission:Earth, The Gaea Trilogy (by Varley), and Steven Brust's Taltos novels.
Other single books include Battlefield Earth, The Historian, anyting else by John Varley, Elliot Wave Principal, the Tao de Ching, Leaves Of Grass, Goodbye, Columbus, and many, many others.
I'm also an avid comic reader, and enjoy the various works of Frank Miller, Garth Ennis, Warren Ellis, Alan Moore, Peter David, Chris Claremont, Grant Morrison, Mark Millar, Brain Bendis, and others too numerous to list.
Keith Giffen, Andrew Jackson, George RR Martin, Frank Zappa, Tori Amos, JJ Cale, Jim Norton, Steven Erikson, and Peter David.
