About Me

Hi, my name is Sylvia, and I'm not really from Amsterdam.
I earned the nickname a while ago, and it wasn't through smoking psychoactive products nor campaigning for their legalization.
Um, what else? Let's see, I'm a DJ, and I study Biochemistry, and.... I happen to like music a lot.
Anyway, here's my bio:
A native of Poland, Sylvia developed a passion for electronica at a very early age, and carried it though her teenage years. Influenced by artists like Prodigy, DJ Dido, and almost anything on Germany’s VIVA in 1995, she began djing at 20 years old. After buying her own decks less than a year later, things took off - she joined the boys of NORdjs in 2006, and life was never the same…
"The most liberating, relaxing, and energizing parts of my day are spent behind the turntables. Having the ability to manipulate music as to transfer a sort of energy onto a crowd is an incredible feeling."
Today, her resume boasts some of Chicago’s hottest venues and nightlife events - the girl’s strong talent and passion for music cannot be denied. With an international background and artistic approach, Sylvia's set easily adjusts to any crowd and environment, while remaining loyal to house.
P.S. A big fat shout out and thank you to my friend from Amsterdam, Bas (who really is from Amsterdam), for coming up with the pimptastic Amsterdam design/logo.
