Josh

I am just me, that is all that I can be.

About Me

About my past:
I am a 26 year old from Indiana, by way of Florida. I lived 19 years in Elwood, Indiana, before moving to Cocoa Beach, Florida. Worked government contracts in Florida, before 9/11, then lost my contracts. Worked at NASA in Cape Canaveral for more than a year when the shuttle exploded, costing me another job. Stayed there as long as I could before moving to Dayton, Ohio to be closer to my family. I will be back in Florida soon, just a matter of time before I am ready.
About my personality:
I am not good at doing things like this, as they tend to come out boastful and egotistical, so I will do my best to just describe how others have described me, and add some personal notes as well.
I have a very strong, infectious, positive personality. I have always did my best to affect everyone in my life in a positive way, whereas they will remember me for a lifetime. That includes everyone from acquaintances, co-workers, friends, family, girlfriends, or alter ego's. I typically am the type of person that can stay strong through the worst of times, without needing my time for self healing. I have learned many thing that have helped make me a strong person from everything in my life. I have learned things that have strengthened my attitude and my influence by learning from my mistakes, watching and learning from the mistakes of others, as well as meeting people.
I heard something very early on in life, that has stuck with me for years. I don't even know who first told me this, but it was reitterated to me at a funeral in 2005. Go through life taking one positive thing from everyone you encounter. Even if it is just taking the way someone smiles, the was some one responds to a joke, or the way someone reacts to a first meeting, just find something positive from them and take it in and make it your own. Now on the flip side of that is a reason to always show your positive side when you encounter someone. It will always give them something to remember you by.
I am a caring, passionate, supportive friend. Typically in my life I have been the strong person that people can turn on for support and guidance through troubling things in life. I have been known as a great counsellor, a great listener, and a great friend to many. Even some of my new friends from here at MySpace can contest to some of this. Also, as I was reassured by my reactions to some family struggles in January, I have the ability to be that rock for everyone to lean on when the time needs. It is a strength that can be shared to others when they are crying out for it.
I am passionate about some things in my life that could some times be held up as a fault of mine. I sometimes become stubborn and bull-headed when it comes to some of those. When it comes to a relationship, my passion is something that I would like to see as a constantly growing energy in the relationship that will continue to pull us closer even as the relationship ages. I never want my relationship to become mundane or bland. Now this is something that I am having to work on, as for me, as with most people, things have not been the best in past relationships and I have been hurt. But checking those feelings at the door when you go to meet someone new is something that I am making a priority. I mean, why punish someone who had nothing to do with it, for the problem that was between you and someone else in the past. Enough of that for a moment. if you want to read more about my views on relationships, read one of my first few blogs. Okay, I have rambled on about me for now, and there is much more to know, but you will just have to ask to get them. The chances of some of you superficial ones even reading this far down, are slim to none, so I am helping to screen my friends requests more and more in various ways.

My Interests

I am just getting into professional photography. It is becoming a passion of mine, and wedding photography may end up being my future career. For a sample of some of my work, take a look at the following wedding gallery from February of 2007 in Jamaica.

Marcie and Erich's WeddingI love to travel. Spent 2 months in Wollongong, NSW, Australia a few years ago, and fell in love with it. Another trip to Australia is in the works, just looking for the right spots to visit.

Television:

Now that I am working 3rd shifts, I am addicted to ER reruns in the daytime on TNT. I don't know why I am still addicted to it, I have watched just about everyone of them when they first aired since the first episode.

I also love watching all the CSI's. Nothing will ever replace the original, but I enjoy them all. I think I enjoy them because I always learn something from them. I love watching anything that is informative. I like watching a lot of shows on Discovery, like Mythbusters and some of the documentaries that they have.

I am still a guy, and love watching sports. If I cannot watch it live, I will watch it on TV. I am a Chicago WhiteSox fan in baseball, and LOVE the Pacers and Colts. I will always be a hoosier, no matter where I am living.

Books:

A very special friend gave me a gift recently, that I am addicted to. I am passionate about this book, and I have learned soo much from it. I am on my second reading of it. Now, before you knock it, I would recommend that you read some of the comments people have said about this book. The book is called, "Why Is This Happening To Me... Again?!" by Dr. Michael Ryce.

I also love reading Michael Crichton novels. "Timeline" was my favorite. Which wasn't actually slaughtered by the theater.

Heroes:

Steve Poltz and Jack the Kilkenny Kid!
I believe this was shot by swetsastonic, another Steve Poltz fan.
