About Me

I'm in constant battle with different versions of my self, ever-changing, sometimes confused, always curious. I carry a heavy burden of personal responsiblity, but I realize if I didn't, I wouldn't really be alive. I love complexities and analyzing the hidden paradoxical nature of life. I revel in human connection... I want to see and do it all.. I want to be affected.

It's so important to really live. To follow your dreams and find beauty in what you've got and be open to learning to get all you can out of every situation!! Even sometimes if you're not sure where you're going... trust yourself and you will get there. And at that point-after you've done so much and yet there's still so much more to do... god it's just so fucking beautiful

My Interests

Living life openly the way I see fit, cooking, co-op quest games, wanderlust, the arts, photography, graffiti, east asian anything, painting, writing, natural beauties, politics, wisdom from old asian people, history, compassion, the self, no self, closing the gates of oblivion with my +5 blade skills, bossy girls with ratitude problems, national public radio, dictionary.com, the deep blue ocean, immersing myself in the feeling of desperation when it comes- it's so beautiful and inspiring, counter pop culture, self-loathing beatniks, inventing, re-inventing, spending hideous amounts of money at amoeba, the underdog, hot tea, ungeneral wanderings in general areas, self-improvement, jazz, conquering runyon canyon, pretty dresses, online scrabble, philosophy, being naked, sunny days in the great outdoors, rainy days with johnny cash, roadside fruit, writing epic papers and enjoying it, athletics, the dao, a better tomorrow, family, traveling, libros, laughing at myself, talking to strangers like old friends, roadtrips with nostalgic music, less ego, awkward situations, traditional chinese meals, marginalized groups, prayer, yoga, stream of consciousness, being "not asian enough", personal responsibility, letting the pieces fall, and beautiful planet earth.

I'd like to meet:

poetry in motion

those who realize their self-worth, and how worthless it is

let's have a completely ego free relationship. let's speak from our inner selves, the part where we ar all connected and balanced and flowing naturally and happily. let's not judge, but accept each other for everything that we are and have become. let's be completely honest with each other and let down our guards and laugh at life and the silly games people play out of their insecurities. let's cut every single informality. let's fart in each others presence.

My Blog

thus far

It's 1:39AM in Texas on a Saturday night. It's finally quiet, and I can finally hear my own thoughts... screaming at me at the top of my metaphorical lungs: "WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH YOUR LIF...

Batman Forever (and the theory of duality).

This is very simple and banal philosophical concept, but I still think it's necessary to reconnect with basic concepts every once in a while. The idea is, there are really two "you's" There is the one...

J & M's Flower Power Project

So after Justin's dead plants graced our windows for nearly a year, we finally decided to switch them out for some new ones! Beginning with the headless window washer... Snapdragons and a namel...

Expired

Well it's been less than a month since graduation and my plan so far is to not have one for at least two months. This non-plan plan has included M-F hikes up Runyon Canyon with the pup, the occasional...

RAGE, ANGER, AND GENERAL DISAPPROVAL

Screw all the people who buy concert tickets to now sold out shows, who don't even like the band or go to the shows, but instead sell the tickets on e-bay for 5 times the original price. ASSHOLES.

Thoughts on the War in Iraq

I typically don't go against the libertarian grain when it comes to foreign policy in Iraq, but I have to say that I don't disagree with the troop increase at this point. No, I don't agree with the in...

Why I love kids... Reposted from my friend Sara's blog

A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds,"What does love mean?"The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined. See what you think...

I think this is my favorite sappy love quote

"But I love her..." "Loving someone isn't what matters. Loving someone is all about you and how you feel. What matters is how you treat the ones you love. What are you willing to do to get her back?" ...

Philosophy with purseman

The first thing I remember thinking as soon as I opened my eyes this morning was that I didn't want to deal with anyone's self-importance today. What an odd thought to begin my day with. I got dressed...
