POLITICS: Let me preface, I am an extremely proud American, but I sense a not so subtle shift in tides, and this concerns me. The government was set up to insure our safety, well being, and freedom, but politics is a double edged sword, it also serves as an arbitrarily restrictive governing agency that is filled with greed and corruption. At times one wonders who's interests are of foremost concern to the politicians, their constituents or Big Business. In the 50's and 60's a catch phrase was echoed through out the United States: "WHAT'S GOOD FOR GENERAL MOTORS IS GOOD FOR AMERICA". I am not so sure that even back then this was true, but I am certain that, that philosophy can no longer be embraced. Large corporations are allowed to save millions of dollars, by inappropriately disposing of harmful industrial byproducts, (The Environment Is Us), and multimillion dollar companies are being allowed to hire only part time employees, which relieves them of the obligation of providing health care benefits.. This in turn, places the responsibility of health care back on the under employed workers, who can barely afford to keep a roof over their heads and food on the table, or the tax payer (You and I). "This is just the tip of the iceberg", these and many other "Sweet Deals for Big Business", are fully sanctioned by our government, and scream of Kickbacks. ONE DOESN'T HAVE TO WONDER WHY SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS ALWAYS SEEM TO WIN OUT. I have one other passion, aquatinting people with a product that I have been taking for over 4 years. It supports and balances our God given immune system. People who are taking it are received tremendous wellness results. It has a 90 day, 100% satisfaction guarantee. CARING PEOPLE: People who care about all of the challenged people in the world. The well being of the elderly, the children, and the homeless. "People who care about all of the people, all of the time". I am looking to meet people who will champion deserving causes, and stand up for their beliefs. I am also rather fond of musicians and artists. I have been playing guitar for a little over 25 years and consider myself a musician, of sorts.

My favorite group is the Beatles, my favorite album is Abbey Roads.I think that Jethro Tull is a tremendous group and love Ian Anderson's flute. Jethro Tull// And your wise men don't know how it feels..to be "Thick as a Brick"
I love good music. I missed Woodstock
I swore to experience as many of the other three and four day festivals as possible, and I went to quite a few. I saw Janis Joplin jamming with Johnny Winters at the West Palm Beach Festival. In fact I saw her perform live on three different occasions.Summer TimeBall and ChainJanis Joplin// Cry Baby.. width="425" height="350"
I saw Jimmy Hendrix do the Star Spangled Banner at midnight, on the 4th of July, with fireworks in the back ground, at a festival in Byron Georgia, just outside of Atlanta. I was fortunate enough to have seen him 3 times. The first of which was weeks before his "Are You Experienced" album came out. I saw him in Jacksonville Florida. He was the back up band for the Monkeys...

I have a personal website into which I have included my top 30 or 40 favorite bands and solo performers. Each with a number of my favorite songs, with lyrics posted. Site can be found at:

I thought that the first Matrix was tremendous and truly had spiritual relevance. I continue to enjoy The Mummy, Copy Cat, Richotte, and even the Alien vs. The Preditor. Some really fun movies are The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Alice's Restaurant, most of the Woody Allen movies and all of Mel Brooks'. One of my personal favorites is Young Frankenstein, but who can pick. The Frisco Kid is funny and touching, Space Balls is great, and The History of the World is the most satirical epic that has ever been produced. But let us not forget about Space Balls.
I love movies. I spend far too much on cable. I am a CSI and NCIS addict. I think that House is great, and like Bones. I really enjoyed the new sci-fi shows that came on this year. I was really sorry to see that they took off Threshold. I really liked that show and Data needed a new gig. Wonder if they are going to take off Surface, that was good, and I hope Invasion stays on. Needless to say Lost is in the top ten. There are a lot of really good shows on I even enjoy ER, the Medium, and sometimes Numbers. What I can't stand are reality shows. They say something kind of negative about our society. But they are cheap to produce, easy to make, draw a great viewing audience, and make the same advertising dollars as the real shows.
I enjoy books that make you think and teach you about life. One of my favorite authors is Herman Hesse. My favorite books by him are Siddhartha, the life of Buddha, and Steppenwolf, a book about a reclusive intellectual whose life has no joy and is filled with the struggle between the man and the wolf within. I also enjoy reading anything on health and nutrition. My favorite book however is the Bible, the New Testimant. I have read it 4 or 5 times and have listened to it on tapes and cd's at least twice as many times. Needless to say it is inspirational, comforting, and uplifting. IT IS THE GOOD NEWS, the Gospel.
My heroes are Abraham Lincoln, John F. Kennedy. Bobby Kennedy, Martin Luther King, and any other "Champion of the Oppressed". Isn't it a strange coincidence that they all were assassinated? Guess if you want to remain healthy you need to keep your mouth shut or someone will shut it for you. Another great man, in my opinion, was John Lennon. He was also murdered but probably not for political reasons, although he to tried to change the world. Another man that I have very great respect for is our ex-President Bill Clinton. I truly think that he got us back on the right road and would have done so much more for the country in his last year in office if he had not been railroaded. In my opinion, when he was asked about Monica he should have said that the incident was a personal matter, had nothing to do with national security, and that it was no ones business. Personally, I am looking forward to having another Clinton running for office and hope that in 2008 we will elect our first woman President. I think it would restore America's favorable world image and secure our freedom, safety, and well being.
