About Me

Ok, so, my name is James and I've lived in the general Olympia area for more than 14 years. Before that I grew up in California all over the Sanoma Vally, but mostly in Petaluma. I love surfing and try to go whenever I can, but when I can't I turn to snowboarding and skating. I'm pretty good at snowboarding, though I can't say the same for skating. I recently got a Compaq Presario SR165bla bla bal. I'm not super big ups on the whole computer thing so whatever. I dig on hanging out with my friends, music, movies, and my video games. I love old NES, Genisis and Super NES games. I have an X-Box, but I only have a few games for it. I love to draw, so along with some pictures of myself, I've posted some paintings and sketches and other images. Check them out and let me know what you think.

My Interests

Surfing. I love to surf, though I wish I was better. I go when I can, which isn't nearly often enough. I ride a 5'11" squash tail. I'm into punk and ska and try to see as many shows as time and money allow. I skate on occation, but lack anything that might resemble skill. I play soccer. I'm gettin into golf. I snowboard whenever I can. I drink with friends. Not a huge fan of bars. I dig on food, but people tell me I don't eat enough. I draw. I want to be an illustrator when I grow up, which should have been a while ago, but hasn't seemed to have happend yet.

I'd like to meet:

Kelly Slater, Jim Lee, Kalani Rob, Frank Miller, Cory Lopez, J. Scott Campbell, Rob Machado, and a bunch of other people you've never heard of.

Music:

Millencolin; I've seen them three times and hope to see them again. Other bands who I've seen live and totally dig include: No Use For A Name, Lagwagon, Less Than Jake, Alkaline Trio, Mad Caddies, Aquabats, NOFX, the Voodoo Glow Skulls, Catch 22, Brand New, Rise Against, Thrice, Saves the Day, Reel Big Fish, FenixTX, Dropkick Murphies, Suicide Machines,The Bled, Instant Winner, and MXPX. I would still like to see RX Bandits, Slick Shoes, Rocket from the Crypt, Hot Water Music, and Strung Out. I missed my chance to see Face to Face, but I thought I missed my chance to see FenixTX, so only time will tell. I also dig Sublime, 311, Matchbook Romance, Monty Are I, Taking Back Sunday, Rufio, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Rancid, Larse Fredricson and the Bastards, Silverstien, Save Ferris, and a whole bunch more.

Movies:

Sin City, 300, Smoking Aces, Crank, Donnie Darko, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Bubble Boy, Super Troopers, Beer Fest, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, Kill Bill, Spiderman 1 and 2, Blazing Saddles, Beavis and Butt-head do America, Clerks, Clerks 2 Intolerable Cruelty, Falling Down, The Producers (the original, I haven't seen the remake yet), Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, the Die Hard Trilogy, The Emporer's New Grove, Requiem for a Dream, Billy Madison, Mallrats, Taxi Driver, Finding Nemo, Dirty Work, Space Balls, Chasing Amy, Saving Silverman, True Lies, The History of the World Part 1, X-Men 1,2, and 3, Dogma, Dumb and Dumber, Garden State, Young Frankenstien, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, The Godfather 1 and 2, Tommy Boy, the Indiana Jones trilogy, Batman, Batman Retunes, Batman Begins, Napoleon Dynamite, Raging Bull, and many more.

I watch sports with my dad whenever I have a chance, but my job has a tendancy to get in the way of that. I dig on baseball and football, but I don't have the attention span to sit through a game of basketball. Only the last five minutes are important. I watch surf, skate, wakeboard, and snowboard comps by myself, though they are rarely telivised. Big fan of the EPL. GO LIVERPOOL!

Books:

I don't read a whole tone, but I remeber enjoying Where the Wildthings Are, A Light on in the Attic, James and the Giant Peach, Where the Sidewalk ends, Ricky Ticky Tavy, Kotic the White Seal, Jungle Book, Huck Finn, Tom Sawyer, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. More recently in high school I've read Loard of the Rings, 1984, Dante's Inferno (from the Divine Comedy which I will eventualy finish), the Mysterious Stranger, and the Diary of Adam and Eve. In comunity college I read Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, and Neuromancer. Crime and Punishment rocks so hard, but I can't get into The Brothers Karamozov. Mostly I read comics (books and strips). I recomend Calvin and Hobbes and Fox Trot. Heroes:

BatMan, Wolverine, Spiderman
