Allison (should this be something clever?)

You know, I think David Hasslehoff is right...

About Me

I think the friend who told me "You are never afraid to compromise your integrity for funny" was pretty much on the money with that one.

I edited my profile with Thomas’ Myspace Editor V3.6 !

My Interests

The great outdoors, eating, artsy-farsty, peace of mind, walking-but-not-for-the-exercise, reading, and sweet, sweet music...

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who understands, "Originality at all costs is a modern condition" (Pablo Neruda)....Not to be pretentious. Because man do I hate pretentions (for reference, see aforementioned quote).......Also, I am not on myspace to meet people. As in, "Hey, hot picture, I see you like music, I like music, too!! Hit me up some time!!". So please no messages requesting that I consider having a discussion about domination and submission.

Music:

My favorite band is Incubus. I have been told that this is gauche. If I had to classify the music I like, I guess it would be alternative, although this term makes me inexplicably uncomfortable. While this genre happens to include artists such as John Mayer, Jimmy Eat World, Nickelback, etc, I also enjoy ones with more street cred such as Amos Lee, Alana Davis, Ray Lamontagne, Imogen Heap, Mute Math, Iron and Wine, Kaki King, Zero 7, White Stipes, Sufjan Stevens, Amy Winehouse, Cat Power, and so on (eh?? Fancy??)...Honestly, I'll listen to anything that isn't smooth jazz, but it is freaking hard to find fancy obscure shit, no? Take it or leave it.

Movies:

American Beauty, Fight Club, Snatch, The Hours, Garden State, Old School, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Jackass (1&2), pre-MTV Tom Green, Angela's Ashes, This Is Spinal Tap, The Bird Cage, Leprechaun in the Hood, The Princess Bride, Moulin Rouge, Finding Neverland, Labrynth, Anchorman, Mean Girls, Goonies, The Sixth Sense, Pirates of the Carribean, Gladiator, Edward Scissorhands, Napolean Dynamite, Walk the Line, I'll keep adding but there's plenty..

Television:

Lost, UCB (for nostalgia purposes), Chappelle, and Family Guy...other than that I'm kind of a hater.

Books:

Agh so many...rather than list every single Anne Rice book I've ever read, lets just include all of her stuff, like well over 10 books... Ummm Angela's Ashes and 'Tis, A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, Their Eyes Were Watching God, Leaves of Grass, The Hours, and children's books that I feel have deeper philosophical implications that I don't understand (Harry Potter, Narnia Chronicles, Neverending Story, Last Unicorn...yeah). I can't read during the school year because I won't get any work done.

Heroes:
