Lots of "ing" things. I like to go to the lake and go skiing, and wakeboarding. I like to go 4wheeling and sit on the 4wheeler and talk and not actually ride. I like to go hiking, and camping, fishing, although I haven't gotten to do much of that in a long time.I like to watch movies, I like to go to sporting events, I like eating out... see.. most everything that has an "ing" in it and I like it...
No "cool" people... because they probably already have enough friends. Otherwise I will take all the rest and we will start an uprising and take over the world!!! Oh... umm.. that last part wasn't supposed to be out loud... heh heh..:)
I like just about any music except for most really hard metal or rap.
I hate that I can't figure out how to get rid of the box with the x's below that used to be my music player. Uggghh!
I enjoy many different movies. Some of my favs are the Star Wars anthology, LOTR, Chariots of Fire, Sci fi'sh type movies are pretty good. Superhero movies I like, because I probably read the comic books when I was a kid. I also like any movie that starred John Wayne or Jimmy Stewart. I like those old Bob Hope and Bing Crosby movies too. Those old ones are hard to beat sometimes...
Reality... reality...reality... sigh, I know, I know, but I can't help it! If I somehow end up catching a weekend marathon... it takes a lot to move me outta the flippin chair!! I get caught up with the very first episode I see! It's awful!!! I also like NCIS, CSI, Alias,The Unit, and last but definitely not least.. Prison Break. It's a Monday night habit!
The last book I read was Dave Ramsey's "The Total Money Makeover." If you are having financial difficulty, I would totally suggest reading this book. It could possibly change your life! I also try to read the Bible because it is life changing as well. You don't have a Bible you say? Well, check out Bible.com. It's a pretty good site!
I used to be sort of apologetic when I filled this section out. But ya know what, I don't need to be.. So in this section, I will proudly say one of heroes is my Dad. I came along late in his life, quite possibly even an "accident." But he never treated me like an accident. He was the oldest boy and 2nd oldest child in a family of 11. He had to quit school to help support his family during the depression. He was in the CCC.(Civil Conservation Corp- for those that don't know) Part of FDR's WPA, where young men would go out and build roads or dams or things for public use, and would send like 90% or more of their pay back to their families. He WENT BACK to school and graduated a couple years later. He was a WW2 vet, and served in the South Pacific in the Philipines. He was probably the hardest working person I have ever known. He taught me to fish, to hunt, how to throw a baseball, and to love Jesus. He played the guitar, and the mandolyn, and sang in the church choir. One of the highlights of summer vacations was when he would come by the house and pick me up, and I would get to go to work with him. Those were the days.. if only I had known then, what I know now, I would have treasured that time a little more...He worked harder in retirement than he did when he was working full time. He tended a truck garden where he would work in the garden and sell vegetables off the back of his truck all day long. He loved it. I loved going out there, and catching him taking a nap in the truck before the after work rush of people stopping by. Even though he has been gone 16 years, I still miss him greatly. That's why My Dad is in My Heroes section, because he was a Hero. A real life Hero.
