I’m a story teller, scientist, artist and skeptic. My biggest pet peeve is the trite, and cliché and thus tend to drift toward those rare and truly creative ones, even if at times some of them may be difficult, I draw such inspiration from them I would be a fool to walk away. I work on myself every day in hope of becoming the most patient person I know. I understand that everyone has there story and because of this I’m incapable of holding a grudge no matter how badly I was wronged by another. I have tremendous faith in this world and mankind despite my apparent cynical and skeptical veneer. My skepticism shines hardest when I hear people say things like, “the world is going to shit” or “mankind is evil,” comments like these always provoke me into debate. I hope you all understand that we are more clever than we give ourselves credit for although tomorrow will still have problems, many of today’s shortcomings will be solved, just in the same way we have found our many countless solutions to so many of yesteryears pangs and sorrows. Even if you see famine, diseases, and war, remember; many, thousands of grate minds and scientist are creating agricultural revolutions that are sprouting up everywhere turning the most barren deserts into fruitful paradises. We have found cures to plague and many other bacterial diseases, vaccines and anti-viral drugs that lift some of the most horrid ways to die away from our worries. With the help of our new found genetic understandings we will soon be able to cure our “born with” illnesses, as well as grow ourselves brand new parts for what might get or be broken inside us. And yes although there is still war, Alexander would not be a grate if he were born today, for it is not a glorious thing to come, see and conquer. We join together to subdue those who attack others for selfish gain and have put forward rules to end the idea of all is fair in love and war. The fingers that were once on the triggers of the-mutual assurance of annihilation are now together in a handshake. 3000 years of a continent in endless conflicts is now making union and soon others will follow down that same path. I know none of this is complete and there’s still much corruption and injustice at all levels of our different societies. We still should try to look at the whole and realize that with a little bit of effort and a lot of patience or problems of tomorrow (to which I’m sure there will still be many shouting pessimism reminiscent of the present) will seem so petty to our eyes of today.
