Music, singing, listening, live performances, and music!
.. width="425" height="350" ...... width="425" height="350" ...... width="425" height="350" .... Joni Mitchell's agent advised her NOT to attend Woodstock, that an appearance on The Dick Cavett Show would be better for her career! She wrote this amazing song and she wasn't even there!.. width="425" height="350" ...... width="425" height="350" ....
Earth Wind & Fire, Marvin Gaye, Jane Monheit, Eva Cassidy, Bonnie Raitt, Ella Fitzgerald, Joni Mitchell, Hot Club of Cowtown, Tower of Power.....lots of different types. But nothing compares to listening to my daughters sing "Lakme'" or singing "Summer Nights" with my son. Seeing my kids perform thrills me...The healer for my marriage has been sharing music with my husband who, when I was 16, sat on my front lawn playing his guitar and singing to me. My only regret is he's such a stage hog that he won't let me sing for him! If I ever own a record company it would be called "LaTiDah Records".
Addendum: Earth Wind & Fire, The Doors, Green Day, Crosby, Stills and Nash, Gladys Knoght and the Pips, Dusty Springfield, Billy Joel, Sheryl Crow, James Taylor, Mumbo Gumbo, I could keep going........
Oh, and I am somewhat partial to the lads....

The Princess Bride: Yes it's a children's movie, but you will laugh and laugh! And then there's Boondock Saints...
I shouldn't watch it, but....
The Four Agreements, Good to Great, The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat, Memoirs of a Geisha, to name an eclectic few that I've read recently or are memorable. I am currently reading "Son of a Witch" the sequel to "Wicked" I truly enjoy Gregory McGuire's writing style.
I dunno....there are alot of people I've looked up to in my life...my Dad, my Mom, my kids, my sisters and my brothers. I've learned alot of valuable things from many people I've known, especially those closest to me. Outside of that...hmmm, I like the idea of people who show strength in their words, like Maya Angelou or Garrison Keillor, who makes me laugh. But hero is a strong word.....hmmmm, I'll think about that.
