Amor Tonight...

About Me

My name is Derek, I'm an enigma wrapped within a riddle but the end is well worth seeing.
Some words to describe me would be:
Eccentric
Passionate
Rational
Creative
Unique
Complex
Compassionate

I live in eastern Pennsylvania about 90 minutes from both New York City and Philadelphia. My work deals with Sales and Agriculture. It's nothing special, but it affords me other interesting opportunities. I'm currently getting into Law Enforcement. So if in the future I pull you over, just mention some obscure movie quote or music lyric and I may let you go with a warning.
Going to concerts and experiencing live music is one of my favorite things to do. I've been to well over 100 shows and usually end up with a sore neck and an exhausted body. But it's all worth it in the end.
I enjoy writing, for it is a great way for me to tap into my creativity and to explore my imagination. At the moment writing song lyrics is one of my favorite things to do. I have been known to write realistic drama's with touches of humor, but I would like to think I can write in any style and have tried my hand at nearly everything.
Movies have also become a passion of mine, I enjoy all types. But ones with good cinematography, writing and acting are usually my favorites. I have a somewhat large collection of Dvd's and now Blu-rays and am into the whole "home theater/cinema". Makes me not even want to go to theater really...plus, my popcorn is cheaper.
I enjoy playing bass along to my CD's or DVD's and right now it's just a hobby. I haven't been in a band for awhile but if I ever were to find the right people I would be all for making some original, intense and fun music.
Sometime in the future I would like to visit Scandinavia (Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland), Disney World, Hawaii, Budapest, Australia, Italy and Japan.
I would like to think of myself as mysterious without being creepy. Complex without being confusing. Entertaining without having to be the center of attention. Passionate yet not perverted. Humble but not shy. Well, you get the idea.
